We're better when we're not playing at midnight and 2500 miles away from home.

LSU had 29 rushes for 149 yards a 5.1 avg
Scott only had 12 carries for 52 yards (4.3avg)
Williams 7 carries 51 yards (7.3)
Jefferson 8 carries for 42 yards (5.3)
The issue was Washington controlled the game clock. LSU only had the ball for 23 minutes and only ran 48 plays compared to 83 for Washington.

williams was the only back we had that ran the ball well

Jefferson averaged over five a carry.

Ole Miss and Bama fans getting big heads. Going to be a nice ending to the season...

It takes players a game or two to grasp a new Defensive scheme usually.

Whether you like it or not, it is 1 game. LSU will beat Ole Miss though.

No doubt about it. The SEC west just became a two horse race - with Bama way out front of the Webels.
Lord please cure us of our delusional ones.

I think it's pretty safe to say Thunderterd has a big head.

I don't think you can really say lsu will struggle this season based on this 1 game. just wishful thinking. I would be concerned about D if I was an lsu fan, but there were too many outside factors playing into this game to overlook. need to wait a few weeks before making a statement like that about any team. and that goes the same for saying a team is gonna be badass based on 1 game.

LSU v. Arizona St. - Why I'm not worried
Posted on 9/6/09 at 10:12 am to LSUtigahs28
People said the same thing about Bo Pelini in 2005. That defense that year was actually good, their record was good, Pelini won a championship, and now he coaches a very good Nebraska team. John Chavis has a good scheme and he will be fine. Don't be worried.

Look, I'm sorry McElroy couldn't have 3 TD to 0 INT...but he didn't look nearly as pathetic in the 2nd half as he did in the 1st.

Exactly why I mentioned Az St. we gave up what 32 points to them and they were pretty bad that year if I remember correctly.
