Well Doc it is good to see you do not let your lack of football knowledge interfere with the agenda as you have set forth. Not everyone can be a master at cutting and pasting everyone else’s work and attempting to place words in their mouth as you are. I am glad they have bitter internet football junkies as you and offdacorner have demonstrated time and times again. If there was only more people adapt to cutting and pasting and responding with  as you do. I mean it is very Kige of you to do so, he must be proud to have taught you all he knows. At least we know where you get all your football know how though.

I know on the episode where Drama said he would pay they were talking about community college. If he changed to UCLA they never talked about it in the story line.
I remember Drama's line about CC being so much cheaper than 4 year.

It is like Samson with his hair, as long as it is there Brees can move mountains with his right arm.

Well you are wanting to put the chicken before the egg so to speak. Who cares about schedule now as those teams may not be ranked where they are now when they play.

that seems to be lacking as of late with LSU. we didn't have that last year and we dont have it this year. Im not sure who could be that on this d other than PP but no one on the line or linebackers as that to me.

Peterson is not a leader to me, sure he called Jones out but on the field he is showboating after minor stops. Hell I watched replay of game today and I saw him showboat after he stopped a ULL player on a second down play. That bothers me and shows he needs to grow up a little bit more. No one has taken control of defense and had them rally around a particular player. The offense is same way, Scott/LaFell/Black/Jefferson all should be leaders but they have yet to fully embrace that roll.

I disagree, you are talking 1 point wins, which would include La Tech/Tulane vs teams that are also undefeated and possible winning by 10+ points.
Auburn is proof that just because one is SEC champ they are not an automatic invite to Championship.
While style points do not matter to the computer, the human still have a say and many only look at boxscores. I believe they would keep LSU behind Penn State/Texas/Cal if those 3 were undefeated and winning by larger margins than LSU by 1. That alone could keep LSU from any title game as in BCS they may be 3/4 still.

There is no leader among the defense yet either, remember how fired up Dorsey/LaRon/Zenon and players like that got?
I remember Dorsey having no problem getting the defensive players together to talk before even the coaches could once they got back to sidelines. I do not see any of that now.
quote:

our players seem to have learned better with that style than what is happening now.

also at some point we have to question if its possible that all of our highly recruited d line men are bust or if its a coaching/scheme problem.

Consider how many former D-Lineman have been moved to offensive line? Hell Miles is a suppose offensive lineman genius and he keeps moving defensive players over? That bothers me for some reason especially after watching our D-Line struggle to generate pressure.

while arky and uga cant stop people i still think they have way better d's than ull could ever dream of having. also their o will prob march down the field on us considering we cant get pressure on ull's qb very often.

But LSU's issue is not in secondary but front 4, LSU should get their share of turnovers from Arkansas/UGA throwing the ball. LSU moved well against that same UGA defense last year with Lee back there as QB. I think Jefferson may start to trust teammates more in 2 weeks than he does now.

quote:

Ill be happy if we win against the toss up teams. Any win against them is a good win. My problem with ugly wins comes in the games where we should dominate like ull, state and such. Of course id rather the ugly win than loss but it seems we haven’t learned much from close games yet

Ugly wins do not help, we are 3-0 and have moved up 2 spots in polls even with multiple teams ahead of us losing. Had we dominated those teams we may be in discussion of top 5 right now.
Was a discussion today if LSU were to win every game by 1 for rest of season would we jump an undefeated Cal, Texas, Penn State and play for National Title.

I can tell you at practice it was not unusual for Saban to grab a player by a facemask and pull him around the practice field to show him where he messed up and how he needs to fix it.
You would swear the little man still wished he could put on pads and show the players how it was done.
quote:

you have the head in the sand posters that have no other come back than 3-0 when any doubt is raised about the team and anyone saying we need to improve before we play a real team.

Well when they bring that up I tend to ask people were Washington/Vandy/ULL not trying to win the game? Were they cardboard cut outs that were there too look pretty?

Sure we can say they were not legit teams but at least we didn't drop one we were not suppose too. I would certainly take 3-0 over 2-1,1-2, or 0-3 right now.

Those same that claim 3-0 you can ask if they are concerned about the perfomance of the team so far. If they say no, then you know they are only boxscore followers.
Arkansas and Georgia showed they had no defense, that in turn could make our offense actually look better than it is. LaFell/Toliver should be able to routinely abuse their secondary and it should open up gaps for Williams/Scott.

Ole Miss I find them a tad overrated, they are a good team but not worthy of the #4 ranking. I think they finish the season around 11-15 range when it is all said and done. They are getting better but they are not there yet.

Auburn they look like they will be a problem honestly I could see them beating LSU by 10 or LSU over them by 10.

Bama I do not think VT is overrated. I think all offseason we underrated their Offense. McElroy looks like he was just stuck behind JPW because JPW was the senior who had started many games not because he was more talented.

Florida again LSU is just as talented and will depend on which LSU team wants to show up.

If this was on Rant negatiger, racist, idiot, moron, dumbass, among many other useful terms would have been used by now.
Well that was issue with Dinardo remember? People felt he was too lax on the players and they lacked discipline. At some point the players have to be held accountable for their actions as well, it is just too bad that is usually after their coach is gone. That is part of reason you see teams improve so much when they get a new coach and regress the following year. They seem to play above and beyond their ability for 1 year in a prove it type mode.
Damn HBT we have turned this previous 3 page discussion into a 6 page one

And what happens if those teams are no longer in top 5, 10, 15, 25 when they play them? Then who has the toughest schedule?
