Hey, I’ll eat crow if it’s not a blowout. But not much crow because a loss is a loss, whether by one or fifty. Sooners will have to play beyond perfect to have a chance. Hurts will need to not turn the damn ball over.
OU surprisingly plays well when trailing by 20+. But that can’t happen in this kind of game. The defense will need to be 1999-2003 caliber. We have all been searching for that ever since.
I’m not bowing down to the SEC in any regard. I’m stating the obvious, no matter what injuries or circumstances were going into the bowl game.
Oklahoma vs. the SEC in BCS/NY6 bowls that had no championship implications: 2-0. Ok, hardly anything to brag about. Auburn was a 4 loss team. Alabama was coming off a Kick Six shocker and wasn’t somewhat all there.
Oklahoma vs. the SEC in BCSNCG/NY6CFP bowls: 0-4. That will always resonate until they can put together a complete game. Against LSU they need to play like no other OU team has played before. Otherwise the record will be 0-5.
To be here and posting like OU is better than this LSU team or their players aren’t as good as our players is just stupid. What do we have to go off of? SEC teams have a proven track record. OU has a respectable track record, just not when it matters, especially vs. the SEC.
I’m happy OU is in the CFP. Massive exposure always for our program. We are an attraction. Now all that’s left is WINNING these meaningful games. OU is a Championship winning program. It’s about time where they can say they are a National Championship winning program.

LSU will win this one by roughly 3 touchdowns. The Georgia team we torched in the SEC championship game would beat OU by a touchdown.

OU always makes it to the playoff. It's a given Oklahoma wins the big12 title and on to the Playoffs. Oklahoma has like 12 big 12 titles. Not a surprise here. Wish Oklahoma was in sec and not the big12.

You’re right. I wasn’t thinking. It was also past midnight where I didn’t have a clear conscience. My reaction when an injury was reported was, “Well S***!” But for an appropriate word, I went with Piss not thinking of the Ole Miss ordeal.
As far as the topic matter; I really have no expectations. Whatever happens will happen. If somehow OU wins, there will be no gloating from me on here. I’ll just say to myself, “well it’s about damn time!”

Congrats on the huge win over an Auburn team that already had 4 losses prior to that Sugar Bowl. Led by QBs Sean White, Jeremy Johnson, and John Franklin III of reality show fame. That was a real SEC juggernaut team.
