The guy pictured has two playoff wins before ever coaching a regular season game.
I love these retorts from the Runts. They literally are leaving out key facts to make themselves feel better about their HC by default.
1) OM was already in the playoffs when Kiffin bolted to the bigger job. So to say he has never been to the playoffs is really stretching. If not for him leaving you all (not being allowed to coach the playoffs), he is the HC in the playoffs.
2). Was Golding on the sideline as HC for both playoff wins? Yes. Yes he was. But let’s remember this:
A) the first opponent was Tulane. Freaking Tulane- whom when OM had Kiffin on the sideline they throttled earlier in the year. So to say Golding did some type of masterful HC against the mighty Wave is dumb as hell.
B) UGA game. Golding relied entirely on LSU’s newly hired offensive staff to game plan and call plays. Again, Golding gets credit for standing there as HC, but let’s not pretend that Pete all of a sudden became Saban and a master at his craft of being a big time HC.
Reality is that Pete gets credit for the OM playoff wins by Default.
You know it. We all know it.
If not for Kiffin taking the BIG job, he wins these two as well. His team. His staff.
