They were acclimated to life without AC but they still had to be suffering. In the same era construction workers would wear a tie to work. Might have on overalls but they'd most likely have a tie on with the overalls.

Going to be some really interesting games for 10 seasons or so in the SEC and Big10. Its a great time to be a CFB fan.
