Something is off from last year. Regardless if you want to admit it. It could be they have not adapted to the blocking schemes or new players... youth...

But that line is not as good as last year..... Not yet.

So we have have 2 facts (facts backed up by the numbers)

1- MSU starters on defense are off the chart better than last year.

You aren't posting facts.

Show the charts that MSU is "off the charts better"

Because when we bring up the yardage La Tech got, you say "well, that was our backups".

Please, validate your "facts"...

2- LSU offense is not as strong in rushing as last year and is allowing people to the QB that they should not have been.

As I pointed out, MSU has allowed more Tackles for a Loss than LSU. SO, LSU has the better Oline?

Our OL vs LSU DL will be a test. We are still trying to find it. It will improve over the year. It improved from start to finish vs LA tech. But the weak link may be lined up vs Key. Not good. He is catching on but needs more time. I think State can and will focus on containing the run. Have to pressure Etiling big. LSU receivers are elite. He can't hit them if he doesn't have time.
State has to use a variety of runs. I think they can move it some but not up the middle. Hit the TE and slots.
There will be a lot of punting but have to grind it out. The team that plays cleanest probably wins. I think State has the team that can win but I expect a mistake or kicking game to cost us the win. Our kicking sucks right now.

Well.....You won't catch LSU traveling to LA Tech to play a football game.

That says a lot about where these two programs are, in the big scheme of things.

State has one win VS LSU this century. That says a lot, too.

But I do believe Mississippi State is a good team worthy of our respect. I KNOW our coaches and players believe the same.

I just believe our overall talent on the field- and on the sidelines- will prove to be too much for the men from Starkville to overcome.

If LSU needs to make one to win, we will be in major trouble.

Zero confidence at all

Ms st was ranked 110th in defense last year. They were bad from the get go.

Ms st is ranked top 10 currently.

Will that work for you?

Dont let 1 or 2 state fans rustle your jimmies so much. Most of us know this is an uphill battle. We CAN win, but will we? Dunno.

And things make a full circle.

SO as I understand it, using stats vs pasties is OK now? Is that what I am reading?

You guys flip flop soo much its hard to keep track.

It's all in good fun. I full know MSU can win. Both teams have to play well.

There is no full circle here. I dont think you grasp whats being said.

Using current stats, you can see issues and strengths of any team.

Tell me, will game film used to game plan contain stats?

Y'all gave up over 200 rushing yards against Tech. That's all I need to know.

We played our walk ons for an entire quarter, dumbass. The score was 50-14 in the 3rd with 7 of those 14 points coming on an interception returned to the 5 yard line.

LSU is going to load up the box and make Fitzgerald beat us with his arm. Good luck because we have a stud defensive backfield. Not to mention, the consensus first person taken in the 2018 draft will be back at full strength as well.

Meanwhile, if Mississippi State loads up the box to try to stop the run, we'll do what we did to Chattanooga when Etling was 4 for 5 with 155 yards and 1 touchdown.

Indeed, I'm looking forward to watching the beat down LSU is going to put on Mississippi State this coming Saturday.

Do you really think Danny Etling scares anyone in the SEC? He isn't throwing against UT Chattanooga this week. Same can be said for state.

No. In the 4th quarter, MSU gave up 92 yards rushing.

Those were 4th string guys.

He is a much better passer than Fitz and we have better WR's.

Actually, I would argue our first string front 7 is as good if not better. You simply do not have a Simmons on the DL, meanwhile we have a few LB's who were the best at their position coming out of high school.

That's not what I asked you. And with fitz you worry about his legs. With etling you worry about the tailback standing behind him.
