When Huepel was brought in and brought his O staff with him the biggest issue on that side of the ball was would the Oline philosophy of smaller faster guys would follow. Here is what it looks like today
RT
Darnell Wright SR 6’6 335
Dayne Davis 6’7 325
RG
Javontez Spraggins JR 6’3 325
Jackson Lampley JR 6’4 320
C
Cooper Mays JR 6’3 290
LG
Jerome Carvin SR 6’5 320
Ollie Lane RSJR 6’4 325
LT
Gerald Mincey RSSO 6’7 335 OR
Jeremiah Crawford SR 6’5 320
But that’s guys that were here and a couple transfers. With last year and this year’s recruiting we can see if the smaller more athletic guys are going to be here after these guys leave.
Shamurad Umarov 6’6 340
Ayden Bussell 6’5 270
Addison Nichols 6’5 320
Mo Clipper Jr. 6’5 300
Masai Reddick 6’5 330
Brian Grant 6’7 290
Savion Herring 6’5 315
So that fear of small Oline guys seems unfounded. But of the guys Huepel has recruited I did see a trend of multiple sports recurring, a lot of track(throwing not running obviously) and basketball backgrounds.
Thinking back I was afraid that the the Oline would trade size for speed and athleticism. And that it would be an afterthought. And that as a whole the guy could only recruit WRs and QBs. But it looks like he recruits the defensive front 7 more than anything (14 commits in 2 classes so far).
Maybe it was just UCF couldn’t recruit Oline with size and athleticism.

Yall have 2 offensive linemen that are 6'9"? Damn. Also are these all sams recruits? For some reason I remember thinking that Chad recruited 250 lb offensive linemen on purpose all for some great philosophy that never turned out.

Good info, thanks. Y’all looking at 7-5 or 6-6 this year?

quote:hopefully 7-5 or better. How about yall. I know we beat yall by about 40 last year with 500 rushing yards as a team that primarily passes the ball and has a coach that is "only good between the red zone's". Yall looking at making a bowl game this year?

I just hope Missouri can stay with in 30pts this year and be competitive.

Dunno, but I'm 100 percent sure we'll beat Mizzou like an FCS school again.

Do you think mizzou gets to 5 wins?
Posted on 8/7/22 at 10:33 am to Smokeyone
Is any of this true? Hopefully you aren’t as clueless about the vols as you are about uga.

Mizzou will beat UTjr this year and reclaim the lead in the all time series. No doubt in my mind

I remember when a walkon made the Mizzou defense fall all over each other before running past them for yet another score when we were just running clock last year. Hell I'm pretty sure Jarrett Guarantano had his best ever game against Mizzou as well.

Barry Odom was a better coach than Harry Potter

Barry Odom hired Josh Heupel, something only an incompetent moron would do

He only won the bloody House Cup, Tri-Wizard Tournament, raised an Army of young wizards in secret, and defeated Voldemort.
What did Odom accomplish?

Morris olines averaged 280lbs so they could be more mobile for his blazing offense which was the kiss of death for his abortion of an offense. He couldn’t beat anyone.
Sam beefed up the guys that were left and is recruiting SEC size and caliber players. That’s a great thing about him, he knows what top talent looks like and how to develop them.
