I mean hell, Travis Ford, the backup point guard on the 1992 "Unforgettables" team, transferred TO Kentucky FROM Missouri TO GET AWAY FROM THE NCAA SANCTIONS AT MIZZOU. He thought Kentucky was a BETTER situation sanctions and scholarship restriction wise.

(As an aside, Mizzou in 1992 was a 5 seed in the same East Region bracket where the Unforgettables were a 2 seed, bowing to Seton Hall in the second round before the Hall ultimately fell to Duke in Philly which set up the Laettner Miracle game.)

Well, my rant on page two fricking owned this thread and is getting me kudos from the entire board. So there's that.
Plus my replies to you on the topic of hoops haven't really been rants, I love basketball history and keep trying to engage you in factual discussions and am disappointed you don't seem to know enough to keep up.

What exactly is your point here? That Missouri basketball > Arkansas basketball? You're the basketball historian, clearly you aren't trying to make that case. So what are you trying to say? Missouri beat Arkansas a few times in the 90s? Yes, great point. Congrats, no one is disputing that. We had bigger fish to fry in the 90s, Duke for one.

Well if you MUST know, we were PLANNING to make the final 4 in 1991 with all our cheating, that was the whole point. The main lesson here is don't get caught.
Long story short the NCAA probably got a little bit suspscious when 80% of our starting lineup on a #1 nationally ranked team was all from inner city Detroit. Hmm, this starting lineup at the 3:00 mark sounds perfectly legit to me!

Well from where I stand, no one really thinks about the history between Arkansas-Missouri in basketball. Probably because we were good and everyone wanted a piece of us back then. Missouri wasn't special in that regard.
