No trolling. A&M was left out of the discussions and found out when rumors leaked. They’re pissed and in typical A&M fashion, way over value themselves and are making threats.

That's not what the other post says. Which should I believe??

Lol exactly. Unless he’s got about $20-30 million in the bank, he’s not a “millionaire”. Any prudent person with a 401k retires with a couple million in the bank.

There are numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Each is larger than the other.

Not sure this is accurate. Multiple reports out now saying the Aggies have been left out of the process entirely.
Snakey did everything behind our back. He learned well from his new orange masters. Frick him

If you think Texas is going to supplant the big 6 and run this conference, you’re not paying attention.

A&M wasn’t informed because it doesn’t matter what you think.

Nope, not yet. We will stick around and see how it plays out. A&M still has a lot of cards we can play and we don't have a better landing spot.

Unlike a lot of other schools though A&M is almost certain to be accepted by any of the other P5's, we check all the boxes they want in terms of money, fanbase, research spending, academics, stadium size and the ability to fill that stadium, etc. It's nice to always have options.

Well in all seriousness, you do have options that other SEC schools don't have. The BIG10 historically has required all Schools to have AAU Research designation. All of their schools, save Nebraska has it.

The PAC12 has 9 of 12 with AAU research designation, only Oregon State, Arizona State and Washington State lack it.

While every SEC School is a Research 1 Carnegie designated School, there are only 131, the AAU designation is 62 (64) of the 131 (2 are Canadian) R1 Carnegie Schools.

Now, I don't think you all would go to the BIG10 or PAC12, but you do have the AAU designation that only Florida and Vandy also have in the SEC.

Informing A&M was counter productive to what the LEAGUE wanted to achieve not because it didn’t matter. Your trolling needs work.

Lololololololol

What? PAC 16? BIG?

They have nowhere to go.

Plus, if they want to reinforce their reputation as the retarded little brother of UT, scurrying out of the SEC (which has given then a shitton of $$$ and national exposure) is a sure fire way to do it.

You sweet summer child. This comment assumes that A&M could have prevented this. So I’ll say again, the LEAGUE doesn’t give a shite what A&M has to say. There are the charter members that are at the core of every decision and then there’s the hanger ons riding coattails like A&M.

I bet the offices of The B1G and the PAC are having some closed door meetings right now.
Can you imagine Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska rolling into Kyle Field. Why not add A&M, Missouri, Kansas to The B1G? If A&M can get to Columbia, A&M can go to Ann Arbor. Which would you rather go to? All three are AAU's. Highly respected Universities. Plus A&M would pick up huge quantities of the B1G research money. A&M is a research powerhouse already. Missouri top brass wanted the B1G, but fans wanted SEC. SEC fans treated Missouri fans like they didn't belong. Always telling them they should have never been allowed in the SEC. Missouri can have all AAU's in their stadiums rather than schools that will never be AAU ever. Texas market would add $$$ to the B1G. A&M has tons of $$$ and will always have tons of $$$. The are huge quantities of B1G alum in Texas. They would lose their minds if their alma mater was playing at Kyle Field. A&M is known for having a great game day experience.

OR

Stanford, USC, UCLA, California, Washington, Arizona State. Texas A&M has EVERYTHING to offer! West coast people are moving here in droves. Companies moving here. Job opportunities. Lower cost of living. afford travel well. Plan vacations around away games. The PAC is landlocked. They're gonna have a hard time getting to 16 especially with great universities. Games in the central time zone are played at night. West coast early. Everyone gets to see all games. Plus A&M would bring $$$ to the much needed TV sets. The PAC has few options. How would A&M do this year in PAC. EXACTLY.

Funny thing is snotty texas would be the the least respected conference academically. Office talk would be epic! If SEC schools allow Texas in they'll learned why everyone else loathes them. It would be BEYOND EPIC if OU gets in and horn doesn't. Talk about having to sleep in the bed you made. The college football world will lose their minds if the right thing happens.

Ten years from now when the SEC sees why conference members loathes the horns, A&M and Mizzou can laugh and say We Told You So. You knew it, but no you did it anyway. Horns are already planning and laughing how they are going to push y'all around and get their way.

TA&M is 10 years ahead of Texas. And is up an upswing. Texas is trying to rebuild from a previous rebuild. They will bring TV money but having to compete vs The top of the SEC and OU as well as the middle of the pack of the SEC will stifle rebuilding vs their “expirations”

I think the biggest issue I have is that this was deliberately kept from A&M and possibly others. What does that say about Snakey when A&M is on the edge of the playoff? Oh yeah, he said nothing, because that is what his orange masters and ESPN wanted ...

This conference was supposed to be fair, with every team having an equal share and an equal say. That's just a bunch of garbage. Then again, they did invite Texas so Snakey's true colors are showing through ...

I wouldn't mind leaving for somewhere that treats us as equals. That obviously will never happen here, especially with the burnt orange and ESPN in charge

Hey, I hope Fisher straight up runs it up on every single team in this conference. Screw nice - nice is what got us where we are. We should just be assholes like everyone else

I hope we win it all, and then give Snakey the finger afterwards when he has to swallow his pride to congratulate us

soooooo much for the supposed SEC unity. Apparently it's all bullsh!t. The dust will settle out of this and all the facts will come out. Looking forward to A&M brass telling The media how it was really done. The college football world will laugh at this supposed unity from here on out. Oh well. A&M brought the SEC schools a crap ton of $$$ for nine years with the Texas markets and new contract. The true colors are being shown to all.
