Also, the IPF seems to be moving along with the all deliberate speed that we expected.

Link?

We built a 100k+ people stadium in two years. How long does it take to build an IPF that is basically a metal building with astroturf inside? What is the "deliberate speed" if not like three months and a few million?

I would take Georgia current position over the Aggies in a second.

Maybe, but:

1. We aren't called Big 6.

2. What about three years from now? I would rather be an Aggie medium-term- better facilities, higher paid coaches and a commitment from the top down to at least TRY to buy a good program. It didn't take Miami that long to fall once their priorities were misplaced.

Good try at deflection though.

Same conference.

Because the old stadium was total dogshit.

Ever been to Athens? It's a very hilly campus with virtually no room for new buildings around the football complex without tearing something else down. The hold up is coming from the architecture firm that was hired to scout out diferrent locations around the Butts-Mehre complex and the rest of campus to determine where and what could be built. And when construction does start this year, it's going to be a bit slower going up because of the flow of campus that would be going on around it.

better facilities

In a shittier town. Not to mention that UGA facilities are still pretty great in their own right.

higher paid coaches

This isn't indicative of anything. Just because your program chooses to pay out the arse for coaches that haven't done much outside of a Cotton Bowl win two years ago is your problem.

We don't have to buy a good program. UGA is a good program trying to be great. Get on our level

No, so I will take your word for it. IPF off the table.

At this point if you will tell me why the hell your AD is vocally being quoted as a cheapo we can put this to bed. Is he some long wolf? A bean counter? Or is financial support an issue in the administration for political reasons?

Compared to UF, sure. I will give you that.

Agreed. Georgia is like Downton Abbey, it was setup to be great before I was born. Yall are just caretakers trying to keep the estate from running into the ground, you aren't like us Aggies trying to build a new McMansion next door.

But there are red flags all over the place that you might have an admin that is killing the goose to get to the golden egg, hence the thread.

More like terrible at PR. As of a few weeks ago, UGA has been spending money. Whether that's because our AD is saying and one thing but doing another or because the President/Boosters are forcing him to spend, we don't know. But his statements have been pretty poor the past couple of months.

We thought this was the case, but clearly not. There's no telling what was really going on.

Not very good research actually. Or at east old research. Georgia was about to give Bobo a healthy bump in pay. He did not leave over pay, he left because he wanted a HC job and has stated that.

As for Richt, he was making middle of pack or maybe even slightly above middle of the pack pay this past year. When everyone began giving big raises to their coaches, it pushed him down on the chain. They have already opened up negotiations on a nice pay raise for him.

And probably never will be. You have to finish better than 3rd in your own division to be considered.

And all that spending and commitment saw you fall from 4th in your division to 6th, right? Sounds like you are on the right track!

Thank you VERY much for this honest assessment. DawgsLife you too. I appreciate the knowledge. Case closed.

And I apologize I feel like I have to put you guys on blast to get straight answers, but the dog fanbase hides dirty laundry like Illuminati Scientologists.

Lol at Sonny Perdue! What kind of egotistical a-hole puts themselves on the state sign? That is hilarious.

Sure. We could be like you and overspend on coaches and facilities while putting a below average product on the field.....I'm just not sure we want to use your program as a model. Seems to me you are doing something wrong.

Well, as dumpster fires go, ours is pretty tame. More like a waste paper basket fire or something.

I mean, we did just win 10 games, got a win in our bowl game against a ranked opponent, and will end the year ranked in the Top 10.

We will be returning the SEC Freshman of The Year along with four returning OL and two returning FBs to block for him.

Meanwhile we are putting together one of the best recruiting classes in Georgia history.

I can think of a number of SEC teams that would dearly love to have such a dumpster fire raging at their school right now.

UGA has administrative problems imo, but I think you've missed the mark.

UGA historically has been about the bottom line and always staying in the black. There are two sides to that. On one side, which the OP gets at, is that UGA is not going to brazenly overpay for coaches, overload the support staff, build outlandish facilities. On the other hand, they are going to do enough to make sure the program doesn't tank, because that would be bad for business. The admin is reactionary, but they do react, which is much different than a place like Miami.

IMO, UGA needs to be more proactive to consistently win big, but I don't think the program is declining. It's the same as it ever was.

Honest, straight answers? While i doubt that is what you were after, I will give you one with no troll reply on my part. It appears as if the purse strings are loosening. We feel like we have made some very good coaching hires and are doing upgrades to our facilities and we also feel like we are on the right track.

Honest, straight, no troll answer.
