I don't like the call either but the shite was per the rules.
The announcers broke a cardinal rule by bitching about the call while also saying the rule should be changed.

They'll look at that rule this summer I'm sure. Between Oregon/UCLA and this. Looks bad on the big stage

I can’t believe that the video review even took a look at that for more than 5 seconds, much less change the call. The rule is there for the close plays not for something like that.

Only have watched softball this year because of USC almost making the women's world series. Caught the replay, she was deemed safe? The whole sport should be abandoned if that is a good call. Textbook throw out. Highlight stuff.
