Isn't Traina only a sophomore? We do need a nice compliment.

Yes, I'm clearly asking for too much but I can dream.
We really do need a solid backup really badly

I agree that we need more pitchers. Traina can't carry the team on her own.

These girls are capable. Their pitcher was really good, but our girls were chasing terrible balls that they usually don't. I think they'll bounce back tomorrow.

Gonna need Locke to do some work at some point. Murphy made a mistake early in the game advancing a runner when she started to stop at 2nd. That could have been bases loaded with no outs if she had stayed instead of getting thrown out at 3rd.

I was surprise they didnt adjust to Ricketts like they did Escobedo and Cal pitcher with their riseballs and change-ups.

When Braud doesn't even hit a slap ball, something's wrong. The beginning of the lineup was just off and it went downhill from there. I think the pressure may have gotten them a little bit. Hopefully, they'll sit back and just let loose tomorrow. They play better when they're not uptight.

That wasn't pretty.

It's probably my fault. I started out with just a regular shirt that I'd been working out in. Then it appeared the ladies needed help, so I dug out the often football lucky cabbie cab, but to no avail. I then got serious and put on the lucky t-shirt from the '11 championship season. Nada. Then I outsmarted myself by switching to the 2009 lucky football tshirt, which I knew from the 2010 debacle had been washed too many times and lost most of its luck. As you may have surmised, it didn't help much, although the defense picked up slightly in the 7th inning. I may need a shirt particular to softball.

There is nothing more upsetting than when a magic Alabama shirt loses its magic.

Whenever you lose the 1st game of a three game series, it looks bleak. But win tomorrow, and it's a one game series. Win tomorrow and is back to square one.

Here's to Bama taking the next two...one at a time.
