Tennessee BaseVols is killing the portal already and still not done. This year high school class isn’t top 10 but the portal class should be #1 when King Tony V is done.
It’s simply amazing how Tony V can recruit with the current UT “high school baseball facilitates. Then he has the #1 2024 lass and #2 2025 class currently. When those facilities upgrades are done to match the top half the country, watch out. He already making Omaha, and it’s only a matter of time before he wins it.
Here are the current players UT have gotten from this years portal and remaining targets.
A.J Causey- two way player. Hit over .350 last year while going 5-2 on the mound. Has elite change up, may be the best in the country.
Ryan Galanie- So Con Player of the years can play both corner infield and outfield spots. Hit .383, 17hr, 63 RBI.
Nate Sneed- throws 101mph+, and will be one of the top arms coming out the pen. Had 3.1 era, 43 innings pitched, 53K’s to just 17 walks, WHIP 1.266, and 11.2
k’s per 9 innings pitched.
Cannon Pebbles- Best catcher in the portal hitting wise last year. He mainly played DH but was a Freshman All American last year. Hit .352, 50 RBI’s, 12Hr’s.
Billy Amick- UT seems to be the favorite to land his talents. Hit .413, 1.236 OPS, 13HR, 63 RBI’s, Clemson top player!!!
Luke Holman- Bama Ace- UT appears to be favorite to land him. He playing on team USA with Christian Moore and Beam. This will round out the portal for the Vols.
Everyone but Galanie has at least 3 years of eligibility. Galanie will most likely play 1 years under Vitello and go pro.

We don't need to talk about recruiting ratings to pump our program. We just won a championship. Our coach has been to Omaha 3 out or the last 7 years including 2 finals appearances and a natty. He has more finals appearances than that other guy has wins in Omaha.

It's really not surprising when you consider what he does. When the sec finally decides to shut down the tampering and offering NIL before a kid is even thinking about entering the portal, V will be done.

LSU done great and they will be defending champs. But NCAA Regional, Super Regionals and Omaha TV ratings show a lot of people actually care about baseball.
But you won’t be talking about football either in a few more months after losing a couple games and missing the playoffs once again.
Some schools have other sports to talk about year round, while others only have football. Just so happens Tennessee is one of the top Athletic departments in the country.

#1 in SEC All Sports champions.

Yea a guy that replaced with in 24 hours of his announcement.(Chase Burns). The other guys didn’t hardly play at all if any this year.
While Burns is a great talent, he is replaceable. Went 5-3 this year with a 4.29 ERA. Had a SEC era of 11+. Ad a starter he starts to lose it after 4 innings. As a reliever he’s dominant. Issue is he don’t want to be a reliever and will not go anywhere they he knows there might be a chance he ends up in the bullpen again. But Nate Sneed will be just as effective out of the pen without the selfishness.

It’s actually not a bad thread, but your approach needs some work. Make it less LSUStephen and more SummerOfGeorge. Just present the information without the rah rah homerism.

Well considering they Both as on campus together at same time I say UT was in better shape than LSU. LSU wasn’t even in Tommy White top 4 till he visited LSU and the boosters got involved. Y’all made them bigger NIL offer than UT did and that was the difference maker. I think Vitello learned from
