Well all of those teams are better than Baylor, any team knows how to shred the zone Drew runs at Baylor we did three times in one season, but you guys managed to lose at home the greatest home court advantage in college basketball

In an average year, how many elite, sure-thing one-and-dones are there?
2012 was a really awful class. Noel was an elite recruit. Bennett exceeded expectations. That's two. Muhammad and Goodwin both went in the first round, but both were huge disappointments and neither lived up to their "elite" reputation.
2013 is loaded.
I think 2014 is somewhere in between. Not an awful class like 2012, but not loaded like 2013. Simply average.

Mom went to Kentucky and lived there for like 12 years. Grew up a huge UK basketball fan. I still keep up with them even though my college degree will say University of Alabama on it.
I respect that......mostly. I love it when people are fans from before they can even walk and are loyal to a program due to where they grew up, family, tradition. That I'm cool with. My only thing I'd say is this: if you're true blue UK, you need to embrace the whole thing. Can't bleed blue in hoops and crimson in football, cuz that shite just makes you bandwagon. They play in the same league and are competing for the same trophies. I have zero qualms with fans whose loyalty is deeper and based on an emotional bond that had nothing to do with their degree. But you can't get sucked onto the bandwagon elsewhere for individual sports, that's the danger. Just my two cents.

UK will be a machine this year. I'm just hoping Bama makes the NCAAs this season

Again you are cherry picking one season. Kentucky beat Baylor the year before in the Elite Eight. That Baylor loss was literally Cal's first home loss since he became Kentucky's head coach.
Kentucky plays #2 MSU, #3 Louisville, and #10 North Carolina this year.

I agree with this.
But the 2013 class is probably the best in a LONG time. The NBA draft will have a bunch from this class.

I follow LSU. Have a Masters from there.

Mizzou adores the Booker family. It's not just a legacy pick, Devin's dad and Mizzou have a long love affair that stems way before his son even existed. Devin knows that and that's the reason he feels so much adoration every time he goes to CoMo and its making an impact. It's not just your usual legacy recruitment. Am trying to think of a good analogy because (compliment incoming) UK has so many amazing players, but say for sake of argument it was Jamal Mashburn's kid or one of the Unforgettables' kids or something. It would mean more to you than just the usual 5 star recruit you see every year, and UK fans would approach it that way. So has Mizzou, which is why UK needs to understand that, though not the #1 player in the country, Cal will probably have put in that much of a great effort in the Booker case, and you should not underscore how crushing a blow it will be to Mizzou if Cal does reel him in. It's something that will define the way these two programs interact moving forward in the new reality of being conference mates.
Good post. I think Mizzou fans are trying to find their Kansas in the SEC. I think UK is the replacement of the Jayhawks for hate.

Check book from University of Memphis?
They would hand Cal an IOU slip.

Seems they want someone to argue basketball with and realized their is only like one fan base that will actually do that in the SEC with a few stragglers from other fan bases.

No. It's not. I think we can develop a good basketball rivalry with y'all. But it's never gonna be kU. Just as we will never replace Louisville as a rival for y'all.
There's too much history. And it's not just basketball history.

Sorry should of rephrased it as Fred Smith was opening his checkbook.

"There's nothing left that we could've done to keep him," Johnson said.

We don't want you as a rival. We have enough rivalries, with legit basketball programs, not programs that haven't even been to a single Final Four in the history of their program.

You're such a whiny poster.
I said we'd never have a deep level rivalry with UK and you respond with that. You're a tool.

lol @ Mizzou
This guy maybe not this year, but soon....
will take up to the promise land. Sweet 16 possibly next season. We will be competing with UK and UF for SEC titles.
