Bless your heart, what would you suggest the network run the second to the last weekend in May? Meaningless baseball games?

Damn The Vaj, I don't blame ESPN Just look at the crowds and the demands for tickets and don't spout off some inflated TV numbers to prop up softball. Watch both. Enjoy both.

I fricking hate baseball... next to golf, probably one of the most boring sports on TV... I won't watch it and enjoy it... However, I won't get on a message board and bitch about a network covering it either...

Your tampon is showing...

Yeah I think 99.9% of folks on the rant would be polite as hell were they to meet anyone in person. Having the anonymity of the internet definitely changes things. That said, if you are going to endeavor to do something that people pay money to watch, you are going to get some criticism so you need to work on having some thicker skin, or you are going to be miserable.

And thanks for making my point

Here's the highlight of your link:

"The growth in women's softball isn't just seen in the revenue data. In 2015, it was reported the Women's College World Series between Michigan and Florida averaged 1.85 million viewers. Meanwhile the Men's College World Series only averaged 1.4 million viewers. So, the WCWS attracted 31% more viewers than the CWS in 2015"

Softball America took the average number of viewers for the WCWS Final and compared it to the average for the entire 2 week mens CWS.

Why not compare both WS Final numbers? Why not add in attendance of the games? Ticket sales? Merchandise sales?

And your lack of reading comprehension is showing. My posts were about comparing college softball to college baseball

Softball is extremely popular. Most people who think it is not a hot sport never spent any time watching it or studying it. I've watched it regularly for at least 15 years now.

As for the girls, LSU, Florida, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, and Georgia have the prettiest girls every year and they get most of them from California. Alabama has an occasional pretty girl but they are usually big girls on that roster. Good athletes but not easy on the eyes. Fouts is an exception. FSU has some pretty girls now, too, but not usually. Texas has some this year.

Try hitting a 60mph softball coming from 43 feet.

I’m not disparaging these girls at all but I coach a 12 yr old boy that throws that fast from 46. It’s amazing to watch.
