That’s a lot of words for a propping up a failed three years without a national championship.

So, if the standard is only winning a NC because making the playoffs is a failure what does that say about AU football?

A failed 3 years that was better than any in Auburn history, you mean.

When you sign the #1 class every year and close your legacy with three straight duds and retire it is a failure.

(See WilliamTaylor post with you calling for Saban to retire. I guess you got your wish.)

Not at all. Greatest run in history and left the cupboard full.

Sucks for you that you had to watch it happen year after year. We both know you'd trade places in a heart beat. Imagine Auburn having Saban for 17 years. You'd be that dynasty. Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Miami, Auburn. History would love you. And I tell you what, that would suck as an Alabama fan.

But keep hope alive. Maybe one day it'll happen.

It was absolutely brutal …

• 2021 24-22 W vs the Barn
• 2022 49-27 vs the Barn
• 2023 27-24 vs the Barn

… for the boogs.

So you’re asking if during a 3 year period where:
-we won the SEC twice
-made the CFP twice
-won a NY6 bowl
-absent two last second plays wouldve been in the playoffs in 2022
-all this despite critical injuries to Bryce Young, Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs, John Metchie and others
-with a 70 year old coach

We were disappointed?

Bowden and Paterno were full Joe Biden by that point in their careers.

Absent NIL Saban would still be in Tuscaloosa as a favorite to return to the CFP with a loaded roster.

I’m not sure if this is a bad troll but all you’re asking as best I can tell is if Bama fans consider a stretch that exceeds anything all but a handful of programs in CFP era history have accomplished was a disappointment?

Speaks to the respect you apparently have for Alabama football honestly so I would just say no and thank you for thinking so highly of the standard Saban set that you would think it would be disappointing for us.

Judging by all of the screenshots (thanks WilliamTaylor) of posters calling for Saban to retire, I’d say you all were ecstatic with how things were going.

So, is your stance that making the playoffs 2of his last 3 years is a downer? Really?

Yes, you got me. Completely wrecked me. I'd much rather be an Auburn fan where palace intrigue in the athletic department has been refined into performance art.

Three season every AU still dream about having. Again a little insecure trying to convince yourself UA fans are upset.

Got to love game day threads. I am sure AU fans are so nice in theirs, but I guess it is easy when winning or competing for NC is not an option for your program.

I think we may need to create a support group because we are in denial about having our HC retire and leaving behind a legacy of the greatest CFB run in the history of the sport.

I feel like most Bama fans knew the ride was coming to a halt with all the changes coming to college football and Sabans age. That being said I think it was more cathartic for the sec than it was sad for Bama fans. The sec has always been distinguished by its ability to have multiple contenders saban destroyed that. He castrated the entire league. There was a point saban had this conference so defeated all the competition fled the sec and went to osu and Clem. Bama fans are sad saban didn’t go out number one his last season but I think the rest of the conference is happier knowing the 15 year heel on their throats has gone.

I am impressed that a person that isn’t concerned with their football team would keep these statistics on Bama. No one would have heard any thing else if the Barn had a record even close to this.
Thank you for your concern.

You are really desperate are you not little one?

Again, a post in a game day thread right after we just lost to LSU in OT.

I guess it is hard to understand for an AU fan like yourself to grasp losing a tough game. Since losing games is part of the AU football blueprint you guys must be so used to being irrelevant you forgot what it is like during a game with the roller coaster of emotions.

But keep trying

If it gets you warm and fuzzy down there have at it. I hate to see people so insecure they will grasp at anything to feel relevant. I guess not being from the state of AL it is hard to fathom what it is like to be a fan of a 2nd tier program in the state that is mostly ignored or forgotten about.

My final response to you though we know you cannot resist responding to since you are seeking validation. I am grateful for everything Saban has done for the program. He created the greatest dynasty in CFB that will never be seen again. The roller coaster of emotions I felt through all the years since the start of the run were incredible and I would not trade them for anything. Something that no other fan of any fan base will get to experience.

So every season any team fails to win a NC it is a "failed" season. You don't believe that with barner football, basketball, or any other sport you care enough about to buy a ticket or watch.

You are a rant hypocrite who has to raise a bar far beyond anything your football program has ever achieved in your existence for a four-year period, much less the last decade and a half.

A failure? Ahh yes the two sec title dud step. Come on man you’re clearly letting your emotions drive your narrative to the point of undermining your own credibility.
