I say probably so. Especially given how bad their offense is at staying on the field and giving them time to rest.

Sure in the regular season. Michigan and Clemson are better in advanced stats and regular stats and could be Alabama's 2 playoff opponents.

PPG
1. Clemson (12.7)
3. Michigan (12.9)
5. Mississippi State (13.5)

Rush YPA Allowed
1. Clemson (2.08)
11. Michigan (3.11)
18. Mississippi State (3.30)

Passer Rating Against
1. Michigan (87.65)
2. Mississippi State (99.23)
15. Clemson (108.13)

Yards Per Play
1. Michigan (3.82)
2. Clemson (3.83)
6. Mississippi State (4.29)

Until Clemson, yes. Michigan’s defense does not impress me

We are better than any offense Michigan or Clemson has played, but outside of that who else?

YPP Rank
#2 - Alabama
#48 - Texas A&M
#58 - Florida
#79 - Auburn
#95 - Kentucky
#107 - Kansas State
#108 - LSU

Michigan has played
#15 - Nebraska
#22 - Wisconsin
#42 - Penn State
#46 - Notre Dame
#53 - Maryland
#117 - Michigan State
#126 - Northwestern
#128 - Rutgers

Clemson has played
#17 - Georgia Tech
#48 - Texas A&M
#49 - NC State
#59 - Syracuse
#80 - Boston College
#90 - Wake Forest
#110 - Louisville
#113 - Florida State

You definitely can't argue State has played better offenses than Michigan. You could argue possibly Clemson as Clemson hasn't played an elite offense yet and has played a lot of bad ones.

Really don’t know how good Clemson or Michigan is on defense...both seem pretty good but how good?

I don’t know if it’s the best overall defense we’ll play, but no one is going to pressure Tua as much as State did.

It's hard to tell. Bama's third string qb played for how long in the second half? He was 3 for 6 with minus one yard in passing. Saban's game plan changed at that time. Preservation mode so to say.

I think Clemson and Michigan have legit defenses. They would not be easy wins for us at all.

But really, I'm getting tired of seeing Bama play Clemson. I would rather see us play Notre Dame and Michigan.

Trick question.

Are you considering "practice"?

Haven’t watched Michigan but Clemson D-Line is legit.

I think Miss State and Clemson's DL are pretty comparable. Probably best two DL in the country as far as the starting lineup.

Clemson's starting CB duo are pretty elite... Trayvon Mullen will get drafted in the top 2-3 rounds as a junior this year and the other guy AJ Terrell is a sophomore that has really come on the last five weeks and will also be a pick in the top 3 rounds next year.

At safety, Clemson can be exposed. Good players who know the system, but not elite like Bama or LSU.

Bama's offense with Tua will be tough for Clemson to stop this year, because of all of the matchup problems they present and their ability to be balanced. Watching them is a lot like watching Clemson the year we won it all, but with a better OL... playmakers all over the field with a QB that can make plays.

I will say this... I expect those senior DL that returned to have some extra juice if we play Alabama this year. Those guys came back for this game.
