The first 11 P5 teams had a combined record of 61-54. Congrats.
And the entire conference had a combined record of .500, so that means Alabama also played the best parts of the SEC that season.
Thanks for pointing out an even better argument for Alabama.

You asked about what fans would do if it was a full stadium. I answered that part. Obviously LSU plays against Bama every 2 years. So in 2022 against an inferior LSU team, Bama lost. The crowd was full and had an effect on the midget QB Bryce Young.
Would a full crowd have made a difference in 2020? Probably not. But the opt outs and not having a full stadium for any team makes 2020 a year that no one can thump their chest and say “we are the best ever”.
Literally no one outside the state of Bama ever includes 2020 season as one of the best ever teams. Reason is bc so many teams have opt outs. Not full stadiums. Championship opponent had 7 wins. Way to pump your chest about that.

In the end..... 15-0 is greater than 13-0, true?

Yes, yes it was. No other team dominated its opponents as bad as Bama did that season, while having to take extra precautions not to get sick and overcoming many obstacles during a pandemic. Imagine trying to discount a bunch of young men that went through that and still showed up to do their jobs the best they could during a time like that while many people cowered in their homes hoping the government would bail them out. That season should never be discounted, or discredited, but should garner them praise and extra respect
Well stated, FoTown. They will always know they were the very best to ever set foot to field. That must be a great feeling for them.
It certainly is a great feeling for us Bama fans. It's quite a lofty achievement that they produced for us to be able to brag about and be proud of among friends.
No other teams can legitamately stake this claim, other than possibly '95 Nebraska, and they weren't nearly as impressive as Alabama.
They played a rather weak schedule that season, coming in at a lukewarm, at very best, schedule difficulty level at 23rd of 108 teams that season.
Meanwhile, Bama's 2020 schedule rating was a red hot #1 in the nation out of 127 teams.

Are you suggesting Alabama needed to play some cupcake G5 team and a rent a win FCS team in order to make the season comparable?

When Bama played UGA they played a great game, to their potential. When they played Michigan, they looked like the Bad News Bears who all left their contact lenses at home. It happens.
But it does make one wonder, a game like that, which is so uncharacteristic of a Saban-coached team....???? Was ol Saban already on the sideline thinking about that new fishing boat and new set of Ping golf clubs, or was his heart still in it?
Georgia just wasn't nearly as good as Michigan.

Hey Alter boy.... I was talking to the intelligent posters. Or at least intelligent by Bama standards. Not you. Alters are notoriously retarded.

So your answer is the LSU crowd makes up more than 38 points?
That's funny considering an LSU fan is just as likely to see LSU get shut out as they are a win when Alabama and LSU play in the state of Louisiana.

Oh, so you admit everything you said previously was bullshite.
Any opt outs or whatever are a reflection of your program. Every school in the country had to deal with the same conditions. The fact LSU was a bitch arse school who couldn't field a good team while their coach was grab assing some pussy like he was 15 and never been laid in his life is your issue, not everyone elses.

1995 Nebraska is the GOAT, but 2020 Alabama is greater than 2019 LSU.
LSU fans just don't know football existed before 2000 is the only reason they think they were more dominate than 95 Nebraska.

What in the actual frick makes you think schedule strength is comparable between years?

Georgia Southern
Northwestern State
Vanderbilt
&
Utah State
just said that 13-0 is better than 15-0. I just checked with them and that is what they said, verbatim.

Don't be lsuey and dawgy like, 3down10, Bama fans are better than that. Your tone doesn't foster any will to discuss the matter with you.
But, Pacific, Arizona State (6-5), Iowa State (3-8), Missouri (3-8), Michigan State (6-5-1), Washington State (3-8-0), Oklahoma (5-5-1), plus a couple more were not very strong teams that season, in any sense of the word, in any time period.
