Saban (the goat)

Smart (elite)

Kiffin (turned 2025 Ole Miss into the best team in the SEC)

Cristobal (Made Miami relevant again)

Indiana just beat down the entire college football world last year. I'd give them the nod

Also Mel Tucker, Tosh Lupoi, Bo Davis, Billy Napier and Dan Lanning as an analyst along with Glenn Schumann as a GA.

It’s easily the most talented staff in CFB history.

The Arkansas staff in 64 has an argument. Broyles had an unbelievable group of coaches come through the program during his tenure. Numerous National championship and Super Bowl champions.

Jimmy Johnson was a player so he doesn’t count.

Never said he coached on 64. He coached in the 70’s.

Point is - Switzer and Majors don’t surpass 2015 Alabama. Johnson would help the argument but there is no Switzer Super Bowl win without Jimmy.

Also forgot Wilson Mathews who was a great coach who turned down numerous head coaching jobs to stay at Arkansas as an assistant and later associate athletic director. There also weren’t as many coaches on staff at that time.

2015 bama coaching staff was probably the best staff ever assembled.

easy to argue it. bama 2015 was stacked with talent. How hard is it to coach four number 1 recruiting classes?

Indiana took a bunch of 2 and 3 star players and dominated college football. Best coaching job I've ever seen.

No.

The staff with the most coaches who would go on to be good or great head coaches and the most well coached team are not the same thing.

They may have been 2 and 3 star players coming out of high school, but one must remember that the vast majority of that starting lineup had been playing college football for 4-6 seasons. Their average age was just a shade above 23 and many of them had improved their star rating while playing college ball. For instance, Fernando Mendoza was not highly sought after coming out of high school but was definitely sought after when he was in the transfer portal. I believe the recruiting sites had him ranked as a 4-star transfer leaving Cal.
