Guess that shoots down that theory.

I don't believe him. We'd have a much better class.

Dude is a player...Powell only lost 2 games. Here is the play that lost one of their games (to Knoxville Catholic). Note that, at the time Powell is up 29-23 with about 25 seconds left in the game. The Catholic QB fumbles the snap, and just look at the hustle Nolen shows in getting to the ball to try to secure the win.

Nolen is number 99 in gray.

Knoxville Catholic vs Powell

ETA...if a team wants a surprise player...the guy who caught that pass (Tommy Winton) is way undervalued.

Pretty much but here's the deal with Nolen. It ain't him. It's his dad.

He was here during some of our best years and it's been made known that he wants to prove to everyone that he's still got it. This first class was a good start, imo, especially given that they started so far behind.

Im sure he picked the Ags for their run of success and the chance to Play for an unnamed DC.

Yeah he turned down all that dirty tennessee money to go join the perennial 8-4 team with the highest rated class in history for free. Makes sense

Don't you know there's a yuuuge difference between 7-5 and 8-4? Well actually there is when one is a first year coach who won the most games of any 1st year coach coming off a 3 win season with a roster ravaged more by portal transfers than any other team all while playing a tougher schedule and the other is in his 3rd year at a stable program.

TBH, though I'm sad we lost out because I do think he could've helped us a ton I also don't think he was ever serious about us. We got the 'pay your respects' visit that we've seen from Jimbo recruits before. He pulled the same thing when he was at FSU and had TN kids on the line. But I'm glad that he's going to TAMU instead of somewhere like UGA, UF or BAMA.

Damn I just watched that bc of the another poster gave it. It's not just that play he takes off. He doesn't do anything next play either.

Is this supposed to prove some kind of point? It's common knowledge in Austin that your "NIL program" is a façade, average at best. Your bag game infrastructure is unparalleled though and that's what Walter was looking for.

No way a kid willingly goes to spend 3-4 years in college station over Knoxville

What's he supposed to say? "i went to the highest bidder". Of course he is going to say what he did.

No state taxes to pay is definitely something to consider.

Looks like UGA’s Heisman candidate against Bama.
