Football is all about individual matchups.
A&M is ultra elite against the run and only above avg in pass defense.
To me the line is reflective of Tennessee being a better passing team (at least before McCoy got hurt) and playing at home.
Bama wants to run the ball and no one trusts Milroe throwing downfield not to turn it over so Vegas thinks it’s a much more favorable matchup for A&M.
A classic example is 2021 Bama vs UGA.
UGA was more complete in almost every phase, but Bama torched UGA in Atlanta because they were really good at the one thing UGA wasn’t great at: vertical passing.

Something about coming off of a by week always scares me, you're not always in sync for a bit. However with all of our injuries, it was needed.

I know what it is, and I know how it was reported also when it come out. It didn’t say “future consensus has the Vols at +9. It was litterlly reported “Vols open up +9.5 “. Don’t get mad for the way people reported it. Get mad for journalism being down and how it was reported from the jump.
