Okay champ! You are right slick. LOL. Spyre, who just so happens to be in Knoxville, and ran by two huge boosters of UT Athletics, and started , admittedly so, by said boosters to recruit elite talent to UT….wasn’t involved in getting Nico to commit to go to UT.

Get a load of this guy fellas! LOL

I would guess these Spyre clowns at the least are going to be disassociated just like the FSU collective. You can say they are not boosters/reps of the university all you want and it doesn’t make it true.

All Spyre contracts expressly state the contract is irrespective of the school. And not all of their contracts are with UT players.

Or you can ask yourself would Nico get 1-2,000,000 anywhere else? And the answer is obviously yes. His Vol Club deal was under market value. His national NIL is worth more than his local Knoxville one. Florida actually did a pay for play for a 13 million deal with a QB that was released from his NLoI when the money didn’t get deposited.

Spyre is going everything right and above board and in compliance with both State and National laws and NCAA guidelines as they exist.

So very true. So very sad for TN fans. Someone needs to attend NIL 101 within UT.

Bitch you idiots tried to claim NIL was tax deductible and had their collective shutdown by the IRS. The NCAA told tamus collective to go study Spyre as a model to emulate.

Speaking for Spyre, Spyre founder Hunter Baddour..

“We realized being involved in recruiting was going to be a priority. Then we realized how much money we were going to need to be elite. And we’re shooting to be No. 1.”

Speaking for Spyre, Hunter Baddour says their goal is to build a war chest for Tennessee. Against NCAA rules, he admits the NIL deals are a hopeful inducement for players to stay at Tennessee rather than transfer or leave for the NFL early.

Hunter Baddour giving the NCAA all the evidence it needs.

James Clawson, the other Spyre Sports Group founder running his mouth saying that they got involved with NIL to help UT.

Starts at 7 minute mark

Right.. they have a couple media deals with golfers no one has heard of. Their NIL deals are with Tennessee. Speaking for Spyre Sports Group, they’ve admitted getting involved in Tennessee recruiting and hitting up Tennessee boosters across the state and and country to fund an NIL “war chest” for Tennessee.

They are boosters and paid for private jet flights where Nico spent three days visiting UT.

Impermissible benefits, Repeat Offender. Tennessee fricked.

I saw what you said. But it just shows you are borderline retarded. Speaking as reps of Spyre, they’ve already admitted to being involved in Tennessee recruiting.

Tennessee is fricked. NIL cannot be used for recruiting. Your Spyre Sports Group is ran by two idiots that are going to get your school hammered because they ran their mouths.

The clip you posted doesn’t match your tripe. Are you sure it’s the right link? They emphasized educating what was allowed and using NIL to promote the Vols. Giving guys options.

Dude was very deliberate in his wording.

Your link doesn’t state that by the way. They spoke of options and the state of Tennessee, not recruiting unsigned recruits to the university of Tennessee.

Visiting Knoxville. Because that’s where their headquarters is located. And they help highschool kids(legal in Tennessee), kids at UT Chattanooga, UT Martin, etc. They help broker deals for Tennessee (the state) in state athletes to take advantage of NIL deals.

No, Hunter Baddour specifically said there is no real competition in state for Tennessee. He said he wants to build a war chest for Tennessee so they can compete with Texas, Texas A&M, etc.

Hunter Baddour even admits why Spyre is doing this.

“Like the unknowns of the NIL, Spyre continues to let everyone know who and what they are about. When asked what he would tell people about the group, here is what Baddour had to offer.

"We are all Tennessee guys. We are all from this area. We all went to UT. We have multiple degrees from Tennessee, and our blood runs orange. Whether our model of business is scalable or not, that is irrelevant—we are not interested in ever taking our model to another SEC or Power Five school. We are only doing this to support the University of Tennessee, and we are very passionate about it. Again, we feel like NIL is a tremendous opportunity, maybe a Godsend, to get Tennessee back to where we all know Tennessee should be, competing for championships year in and year out. Rally the Valley! "

Hunter Baddour admits Spyre is a Tennessee booster.

Hey little buddy. Just wanted to correct you. It’s a collective, not a booster. Enjoy your L.

Ok, they flew out one of their athletes to Knoxville on a jet at no cost to Nico. Nico then wound up on campus while he was in town. That is a violation of the rules.

Either Spyre should have told him "Hey, since we're flying you out here on our dime and you're still an unsigned recruit, you better stay away from campus or it could be construed as us providing an impermissible recruiting benefit" or "Hey, if you want to visit campus while in town, we can't provide travel for you. You'll have to buy a plane ticket on your own dime to come to Knoxville."

So either Spyre was complicit in him going to campus, wasn't smart enough to tell him not to go, or just didn't care. Still a violation either way. Ignorance is not a defense.

Also, this is basic impermissible benefit 101 that's been established from day 1. They can't cry about "oh but we didn't know the rules at the time".

The school is going to need to answer why he was on campus while he was in town for Spyre business.

Not to mention the headlines said there are multiple violations across multiple sports and multiple athletes. Sounds like Spyre doesn't know what the frick they're doing.

Or maybe, just MAYBE Nico can do whatever the hell he wants after he’s done conducting business with Spyre. He’s not a slave.
