I'm guessing he doesn't get the OC job.. but that's a guess.

Wasn't it speculated that the outgoing Vols OC was resigning to position himself for the Central Michigan job?

What recruits are we in danger of losing if Azzanni leaves? I imagine Preston Williams will be gone.

You cited Andrew Darago.....

He's nothing more than a fan pretending to be a journalist and his "sources" are what he reads on message boards.

Did not know that. Thanks for the info.

In that case Azzanni would be a good choice. It seems their fans want to return to the spread so what better way than to bring back someone from the old staff.

Darago is from TSR - nothing but a radio jock.

Yes. CMU has made it plain they want someone, apparently anyone, since our WR and DC coaches have also been named along with the aforementioned OC, from the Butch Jones coaching tree. I suppose their AD thinks that because they've been there before they'd go back.

They are apparently still upset they missed out on Bajakian the first and now the second time. I could see Azzani taking an HC job one day - in fact I think he'll be a HC one day but even now he could do better than CMU. He was offered several jobs last year as well.

With all the speculation about Debord being hired as OC (an old mentor of Jones), I think *if* that happens Azzani will be named Co-OC. Debord is old enough and experienced enough to mentor Azzani until he's ready. Plus, Azzani would get a pay raise and more job responsibilities.

Not sure about that one but I do know he already had the visits he's taking scheduled. They're not new developments.

I won't be surprised if Williams ends up at UGA or Auburn.

Sounds like Van Jefferson with us, always seemed to be looking around...

I hesitate to call them prima donna's, maybe wishy washy is a better word...

I think Williams sticks unless something major happens. He just likes the attention official visits give you and who wouldn't? You get picked up in a limo and treated like royalty for a day or two.

IOW, he's the kinda guy who isn't looking to break up with his girl but that doesn't mean he won't flirt.
