TENNESSEE VS FLORIDA (Tennessee by 4.7)
When Tennessee has the ball....
Tennessee Offense Efficiency : 60th
Florida Defense Efficiency : 4th
Tennessee Rush Success : 58th
Florida Rush D Success : 17th
Tennessee Power Success Rate : 62nd
Florida Power D Success Rate : 118th
Tennessee Rushing Stuff Rate : 42nd
Florida D Rushing Stuff Rate : 11th
Tennessee Pass Success : 62nd
Florida Pass D Success : 1st
When Florida has the ball.....
Florida Offense Efficiency : 36th
Tennessee Defense Efficiency : 63rd
Florida Rush Success : 32nd
Tennessee Rush D Success : 79th
Florida Power Success Rate : 26th
Tennessee Power D Success Rate : 45th
Florida Rushing Stuff Rate : 2nd
Tennessee D Rushing Stuff Rate : 33rd
Florida Pass Success : 50th
Tennessee Pass D Success : 47th
Tennessee's offensive is going to have to really figure some stuff out. Florida will abuse Tennessee in pass protection, Florida's DBs are better than Tennessee's WRs in 1-on-1s and Dobbs has not shown the ability to win these sorts of matchups. However, Tennessee could possibly find some running room in the middle if they can figure out how to block against with Hall in the lineup.
Florida's offense vs Tennessee's defense is kind of a crap shoot since most of the key players on both sides that make up these stats aren't playing.

We lead the country in rush D. I don't understand this one.
Yes, we've played three cupcakes. Yes, we have 4 cupcakes in a row.

There you go. It's opponent adjusted, and North Texas and UMass are 2 of the worst offenses in the country. Kentucky got down and had to abandon their running game early.
Even so, Boom Williams ran for 5.5 YPC. Those rush stats are heavily influenced by a whole bunch of sacks. So, it's still a top 20 group, and probably higher than that once it's proven vs a decent run offense, but for now it hasn't happened yet.

100% agree. I think Florida wins but it's anyone's game.

SOG stats threads. Can you this for other SEC games throughout the season? Really dig this stuff.

Stop overthinking it.
Vols favored.
Vols at home.
Vols higher ranked.
Vols better tested so far.
UF back up QB, with terrible stats in his first SEC start on the road.
Logic says Vols win. Just let it be what it is.
Congrats man. It's been a fun ride but we'll get after it again in the Swamp next year.

Definitely. Starting week 4-5 the data gets much better because there is more of it and more interlocking of teams for comparative purposes.

Logic is usually not the prevailing factor of the UF/UT series.

You guys got this. I'm kinda happy for you. The rivalry needs this in a way. We all know it's true even if we don't want it to come to fruition.

I was assured by gator fans this isn't a rivalry??

Sorry. It should revive a once great rivalry. My bad.

This game is a toss-up with Florida's starting QB and one of the best WR's in the nation. Playing a QB who has never started in an SEC game at Neyland stadium with all eyes on him combined with Florida's one of two receivers they have and one of the best in Calloway being out = disaster IMO. Vols win. And, it might not even be close.

I'm pretty sure the advanced stats said Tennessee had like a 98% chance of victory after Jalen Hurd'a touchdown to put UT up by 13 in the 4th quarter last year.
Anything that will go wrong for Tennessee typically does when Florida is on the other sideline
