You wouldn't even have to suspend the students. 5 year ban from the stadium for any identified trespassing individual would easily stop this. The NFL, NBA, etc ban you for life from all stadiums in the league if you trespass on the field of play.

Fans do not belong on the field. If a fan is on the field, the fan is to blame for anything that happens to said fan while there.

On a field of play with a mob of trespassing people rushing at you,

All completely irrelevant. The player belongs on the field. The fan does not.

I’m sure you all sided with this argument when little Rittenhouse was murdering people in Wisconsin, right?
Right?
This is a unfathomably lame excuse for pathetic behavior and sportsmanship from UT.

Please start a petition to have this implemented at Bama. Please
Just think about that for a moment.

This would apply to a fan slipping and breaking their tailbone if they tried to sue the school.
This would not apply if the opposing QB took out a knife and slit a random fan’s throat.
“We excuse this murder because this guy wasn’t supposed to be on that field”.
Hyperbole yes, but just showing you how stupid you are.

Are you all really that stupid?
Had I been there I should have just pulled out a gun and shot the woman for being on the field.
My advice? Maybe go to law school or at least take some legal courses. Understand the concept of two wrongs not making a right and that if someone is doing something wrong that doesn’t give you license to do whatever you wish to them. Then maybe you can begin to understand.

Arkansas fans stormed the field against LSU back in 2014 and no one was injured.

No. The players are paid. There is a difference. When you are getting paid it changes things. They turn into paid entertainers.
If Garth Brooks plays his last song, starts waving to the fans, and several fans charge the stage at him, can he push them away? Fortunately he has body guards but the athletes don't. They don't know the intentions of each individual court stormer running at them.
The only reason people are defending the field storming fans and conversely not defending the athlete is because field storming at college football games has become too normalized. In any other athletic venue or concert setting, you would all be saying "fricked around and found out" etc.

You claiming a QB would have a knife on the field of play makes me look stupid?
Ok then. I'm ok with you believing that.

Yes, I really believe that. If you are trespassing, as this fan was, then you are responsible for what happens to you.
Of course, the only people with guns on the field are the police officers so your hypothetical is ridiculous, but you do you.

When have Bama fans ever stormed a football field?

We had a player yesterday shooting a pretend gun at another player

They pay season tickets and hundreds or thousands of dollars to go to these games.
Let them storm the field and celebrate.

I didn't see that, but should probably be an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

I wouldn’t expect you to be able to put two and two together.
Let’s review:
“If a fan is on the field they are responsible for anything that happens to them on the field”.
No, just because you can fine someone for trespassing does not mean the field opens up to purge law. A fkn assault is still a fkn assault you donkey.
