Uf has a very large Greek population

But not to the size of Bama, UGA & Ole Miss.

i.e. I believe Ole Miss Greek population is somewhere around 33% if not a little more, but what is interesting is the little known fact that 80%-88% of OM freshmen attempt to go Greek. That's HUGE.

Kentucky has a greek system Kentucky has golfers make the PGA Kentucky has strong tennis Kentucky won polo championship against Virginia like 2 years ago Kentucky has Keeneland and Churchill Downs Kentucky was a founding member - first SEC president was from UK Kentucky is the flagship tho it did start out as a private school Kentucky has a law school, an engineering school. a medical school, and the Patterson School of Diplomacy Kentucky has the Boone Tennis Center and University Club of Kentucky Kentucky has its own country club in Spindletop Hall (no golf at this club that is open to faculty, staff, and alumni)

I honestly thought about adding you to this group but the reasons that deterred me from doing so were.

A) Y'all IMO fit more into the Hilltopper/Mountain group

B) Y'all IMO don't really fall into that true Deep South Legacy (Y'all were wishy washy in the war, sorry)

Though I will say y'all would be the next one in IMO.

I'd argue that Mizzou belongs in this crew, as we have one of, if not the highest median income in the SEC.

Our university also has the largest Greek system in the region, and one of the largest in the nation.

Our country clubs also play host to multiple PGA and ATP tour events.

While this is all great there are three things that kept y'all out.

A) Hilltopper/Mountain Folk

B) Yankee ... I know I don't mean that as a bad thing y'all just don't assimilate as well and aren't what we are looking for to join our club, I'm sorry.

C) Y'ALL DON'T frickING HAVE A TENNIS TEAM SO HOW THE frick DO YOU THINK THAT Y'ALL DESERVE TO BE IN THE frickING COUNTRY CLUB ... C'MON MAN!

McRebel you need to clarify more on that though.
It's not about the size of Greek life.

Arizona State has a huge Greek life and they're all cargo short jersey wearing, goatee guidos.

Their girls are welcome at my country club any day, though

Agreed.

Actually quite glad we made this list.
Probably one of our best achievements since joining the conference.

Yes and in case anyone was thinking, I'm an elitist douche bag where mommy and daddy paid for my college.

Sorry I'm not sorry

Agree with your top 4. You could argue any order for those, but I more or less agree.

Big drop off after 4, imo

Exactly it's not just the Greek Life size but the mentality as well.

THIS IS A SOUTHERN COUNTRY CLUB ... you should know what goes and what isn't allowed

But I have started a new thread for us to discuss this on the rant.

Yea our Greek system is getting infiltrated.
I graduated in 2012 and it was much better when I was a pledge from where it is now. I blame it in the Yankees.

You realize Western KY and Eastern KY is where the mountains / hills are and central KY is the pastureland. Why to you think the horse business is located in in the Bluegrass area where UK is located?

Lexington / UK = pastureland
Bowling Green / WKU = hills

Louisville = yankee river town
Cincinnati / Northern KY = yankee river town

Lexington = southern farming town

If Lexington were the biggest town of the 3 we would have been in the south for sure but more people lived in the yankee river towns and Central KY got out voted.

Other than yhe DC TV market

Again, for the millionth time. NOBODY brings DC as a college market, because it is not a college market, period. The few college fans that are there are mostly Maryland. Those of you who think that Va Tech or UVA bring DC into the mix, please learn how to look at a map. Blacksburg, Charlottesville, College Park. Seriously, how hard is that???

Charlottesville is as close to DC as Columbia, MO is to St. Louis and KC. Not sure why you wouldn't think UVA would bring that market, especially since a huge part of the DC market is NoVA.

Academics and getting the SEC on the Richmond, DC and Virgina Beach markets! The only thing I can think of.

Who's the other ACC team?

I'm guessing either Clemson or NC State.
