Who is the "Cliff" in Cliff-Hare Stadium?

Follow-up: How did yall decide which one of the names to replace with Jordan?

Cliff Hare is one guy. We added Jordan to make Jordan-Hare because Cliff-Shug stadium sounds terrible.

Cliff Hare was a professor and dean at Auburn. Very important figure in Auburn history.

His first name 'Cliff' was replaced with Jordan.
