He said:
quote:

Thank you to the St. Louis Rams and the whole city of St. Louis. I'm using every once of this to achieve greatness!!

"every once of this..."? I don't get it.

Ounce. Probably meant every ounce of opportunity/faith/trust etc that's been placed in him.

Yep. Clowney sobbed too. I don't think anyone's questioning his toughness. Sam didn't even know if he'd get drafted so yeah it's kinda a big fricking deal.

Nobody cares that he cried. The cake thing was weird

Is St. Louis part of the Bible Belt? I could see this back firing big time on the Rams

Watch the over-reaction holmes. You know they say most guys who go apeshit crazy over this stuff turn out to have similar feelings. Just sayin'

No. St. Louis is similar to New Orleans. Catholic dominated bubble within the Bible Belt

Was it broadcasted on national TV so everyone could see?

Some things should be kept private

I know this isn't going to be a particularly popular sentiment, but I think it's kind of nice. The guy is getting emotional over what would be, for any of us nattering fans, one of the biggest moments in life. Nothing bad there. How would you react if you'd spent most of your life training and preparing for the highest possible level of your chosen profession and you made it? I mean, seriously, the guy just learned he was going to play in the N-fricking-FL.
