What should scare teams is how A&M watched Elko. They hang on his every word. At every moment.

On the field when they were up 21, the coaches were still coaching and improving like all coaches try to do. But you didn’t see celebrating on the sidelines after they had a good series, you saw focused learning.
I legitimately believe that if any Aggie player had grabbed the drum major's mace and pulled a Trayveon Williams on the sideline at LSU last weekend, the remainder of THIS team would have smacked the guy silly.

Unlike the undisciplined mob under Sumlin, THESE guys seem to be serious about their craft.

There used to be a celebration “chair”. Where is that on the sidelines these days? Gone.

It’s still there, and it’s beat up as hell. But it’s not a “celebration chair.” Elko got pissed at the D for sucking up last season and threw a chair. The guys use it as a reminder, and trace the D's improvement back to that moment. They add a sticker to it each week from every team they beat.

It represents one win at a time.

Looks like LSU gave up and quit trying to tackle in the second half.

A&M needs to remember this and not get overconfident due to really gaudy yards per play numbers.

Mizzou will actually be a tougher defense.

One can be generally correct and (at the same time) have an ... unhealthy fixation.

Aggies, in all honesty, couldn't your coach dress in a more professional manner?

I know he is overweight, but I'm sure there are better ways for him to dress.

Probably? But who gives a shite how your football coach dresses?

Some wear vests, some wear visors, some wear black hoodies.

I’m glad no one in our media pool has questioned Coach about his wardrobe.

Aggie Corps dresses like a million bucks. Your coach dresses like section 8. Nothing to see here.

Who actually gives a damn about his wardrobe? The man can coach a football team.

If he never devotes one iota of his mental capacity to matters sartorial, I am 100% OK with that.

He represents your university!

Can you imagine Bryant or Stallings wearing some K-Mart 2 dollar blue light special t-shirt looking thing hanging out halfway to their knees?

Beam me the frick up, Scotty.

Yeah, I’m sure there are. Maybe he can hire a stylist and focus on that for next season. He’s pretty locked in this year.

But how did yall stylish LSU folks roll out Brian Kelly wearing platform sneakers?
That’s the cringe you’re feeling.

Now show LSU's halftime. Something happened in that locker room that made them quit, and it wasn't Elko's speech.
