How in the world is paying $6,000 for a crappy product against the rules? If that's the case, Auburn fans should all get busted for paying for season tickets this year to watch their football team.

Paying $6,000 for a crappy product is not against the rules.

Paying $6,000 to influence a recruit and receiving crappy dvds as a "front" is illegal. I don't know if LSU did this though.

You have to prove motive or intent and this is not a court of law. I don't see how you can do that.

They got a product and basically paid $200 per video. That is a really low price for that kind of footage. Look at the going rate for things like that. Maybe they got exactly what they paid for. You're talking about original video that has to be edited and compiled. Sounds like they got exactly what they paid for.

Heck, a wedding photographer gets paid around $3000 to take pictures at a wedding on one day after he edits everything. We're talking about THIRTY TWO videos that have to be taken, edited, etc. That should be way more than this if they were good.

Sounds like LSU got some raw info in a package deal, kind of like a pack of baseball cards.

If they did something wrong, they should be punished. I just don't get what LSU did, especially since we didn't get any players out of our relationship with Lyles.
