ETA: After letting the whole thing finish, I have come away believing that UTk should be 2013 national champs. Clearly they lost to UGA on a total fluke ("the instant replay was against Tennessee today") and the loss catalyzed an undefeated run to finish out the season. Really inspiring what Butch Jones has done.

Finishes 81st in total defense.
Butch Jones after UGA game: "Lets come back with a purpose, cause I'm telling ya, we can be as good as we want to be."
UT finishes out the rest of the season 2-4. Guess they didn't want to be very good.
Butch on losing: "Losing will never ever be tolerated here or accepted at the University of Tennessee."
Goes 5-7.

No, he's not supposed to call his defense the worst in America, but he's supposed to be a head coach, not a cheerleader.
That film was a whole lot of cheerleading.
There is an important and discernible difference between using positive reinforcement to promote improvement and telling your defense they're already the best unit in the country.
