I think this is kind of gay but I don't really care...I mean, seriously, how many times have we heard this or something like it over the last 6 months? What chaps my arse is your "grasping at straws" comment, as if you lending real credence to some vague vegas tweet ISN'T grasping at straws.

Doubt it has anything to do with that, people are expecting something out of the bingo bribery case in Alabama.

My last response on this.

And you are seemingly still stuck on some idea that I KNOW that AU will be sanctioned.
Not at all. I just figured since you give this guy credit for being a Vegas insider, we could use his prediction as the basis for a wager.

You are the one that started chasing this down a hole.
Not really. I simply pointed out that his tweet, coming on the eve of the McGregor trial starting, seemed to be less insider info and more just a thought/hope that something may come out related to Auburn in the trial.

Not sure if you didn't read my entire 2 sentences or not. What I posted was that your opinion of validity-some vegas insider claiming not only inside knowledge of some hammer coming down on Auburn, but enough inside knowledge of the Ohio State penalties in an ongoing investigation that is not near complete, sufficient to make a comparison between the 2, doesn't bother me. I really don't care. What DOES bother me is that you lack the introspection to catch the irony of suggesting that SOMEONE ELSE was grasping at straws. (even though I agree they were). I don't know...I read a lot more than i post and while I know you are at least something of a homer (who's not?), I guess I held your opinions in higher regard and was surprised by this.

Oh, I'm sure...the Auburn investigation is still ongoing- will something come of it? Who knows right now.

I will give egas one credit...they did move teh line for the UGA game and apparently knew Cam's ruling even when no one else did.

Vegas is great at knowing shite that nobody else does.

I'll still bet the family farm that we are rite as the mail.

When it comes to sports, when Vegas talks you listen. They don't frick around when it comes to the millions that roll in and out of that place every day.

My feeling is SOMETHING will come out eventually but it won't near as big as most people expect/want it to be. I've never seen a case with this much smoke around it come out 100% clean but I guess y'all could be the first.

Okay, okay...I'll come clean.

I was just messing around this morning.

I really don't place any weight on what "VegasSnitch" says - I just heard of him when I saw this thread.

Until something comes out from a reputable source, everything is pure conjecture.

But, I will say that this...

I know you are at least something of a homer

...hurts.

Sorry for playing on the other side of the table this morning, fellas.

Well it took two weeks for the NCAA to get a backlog of 10 years on tOSU. They have been "investigating" AU for about 8 months now and we are still waiting on anything of real substance.

That is generally a good rule of thumb. The question I have been trying to flesh out though is - Is VegasSnitch, a website that sells people picks, to be considered "Vegas" as that term is typically used? I always understood that term to signify when "Vegas" set the line on something or when the "Smart Money" was betting opposite of the broader general public. My opinion is that it is not accurate to use the general "Vegas speaking" term in reference to this guy's tweets.

I think we are in the clear on the Cam situation unless there is a money trail eventually found. However, I am not as comfortable with respect to any investigation related to these HS handlers.
