Secondly, how the hell is he going to compare the hypothetical NCAA sanctions against Ohio State's? That investigation is still going on and no one, not even the NCAA has a clue what the penalties will be against Ohio State.

They do have a clue. In its Notice of Allegations, paragraph 11 specifically, the NCAA asks Ohio State for certain documents and its position on the imposition of specific penalties, from which those in the know can figure out the range of penalties the NCAA is eyeballing.

Notice that the NCAA asked Ohio State for: the number current scholarships and the number of anticipated future scholarships (including redshirt and voluntary withdrawal data); a breakdown of how many eligibility years each player has left (to estimate future roster attrition); a list of the win-loss record for the past few years (including championships), and the names of all players who played in each game; and the television contracts for the next 3 years.

It's not just coincidence that "inside" reports of expected sanctions appear which largely coincide with the requested documents:

-All victories from the 2009 and 2010 season will be vacated
-Will not be televised for the 2011 season
-Will not be allowed to partake in post season bowl games for 2011 or 2012.
-Will lose 10 scholarships in 2011, and 5 per year in 2012 and 2013.

This "inside" source is full of shite. And does not know a thing about sanctions nowadays.

I will personally drive to your house, hand you the keys to my car and instruct my girlfriend to perform sex acts on you if THIS happens.

ESPN/ABC didn't shell out over a BILLION dollars to televise Big 10 games only to have the #1 commodity in that deal be taken away because of some low rent tattoo parlor.

Unless a team gang rapes Erin Andrews on at least three occasions during the season, at the instruction of the coach and university president, I think it's pretty safe to say the days of TV bans are officially over.

The money is just too much now.

Speaking of money, if you really wanted to curb this behavior and punish these teams, the NCAA should enact a rule that says a team on probation can't take a share of conference revenue sharing. Let's see these teams play fast and loose with compliance when there is $15-20,000,000 worth of lifeblood at stake. Think Tressel would have said "ok, thanks" in that email if this was the case? Hell, no. He would have jumped in his car and raced towards that tattoo parlor with a flamethrower before he even finished reading that email.

You don't see me "friending" teenage boys on facebook like the AU or should I say NAMBLA University fans do. You guys seem to think it's OK for a Wal Mart oil changer to friend kids to get them to attend NAMBLA University. You guys will never know how many people in Temple helped him growing up because he needed a father/mentor figure in his life, but your only concern is to take advantage of disadvantage kids by using people that are supposed to be preachers or youth ministers. AU kinda sounds like another organization. Just to let you know when you make statements like that you only make my case that your University is becoming the NAMBLA University of America. I will be waiting for every AU poster's apology after AU gets put on probation.

You do realize I respond to goad those who make these threads or those like you who jump in on the band wagon hoping they are true.

I find humor in the fact that so many opposing fans have their fingers crossed the OP is true. I also think it is funny so many are frustrated that AU fans don't fold and the only lame posts others can come up with is "delusional", "head in the sand" "just wait and see the hammer is dropping".

So keep bringing the threads I enjoy the humor seeing all the opposing jackwagon fans circle jerk aroud news like that of the OP.
