Vandy isn't what they have been.

Solid top 20 team, but not a real threat to win it all this year.

Arkansas use to be better at baseball than Tennessee. Things change.

What metric are you using? I think every poll in the country says other wise. Also who has the best ERA, Batting Averages, and wining percentage? I think we already know the answer. Now I will agree that Arkansas is the 2nd best team in the conference and then it’s everyone else chasing 2 teams.

I agree with you that this team isnt your typical Vanderbilt baseball squad. But, lets look at the season thus far. Lost a close series to an OSU team ranked in the top 10. Proceeded to win 18 straight albeit against weak competition. They lost a series at South Carolina which IMO was the only real hiccup in their season. Losing this series to UT is disappointing but not really unexpected by me. UT is by far the best team in the country. One thing that i was impressed with was Vandys pitching in this series. They gave the team a chance to win all 3 games but the offense just wasnt there. UT pitching is as impressive as their hitting. I think Vandys bats will come around. Other than Arkansas and UT, np one looks that formiddable. I still believe this team can getting hot at the right time could go deep and maybe win a game or 2 in the CWS

I think Vandy is the third best team in the SEC behind Tennessee and Arkansas.

I’m not so sure about that. Pretty much every vandy pitcher I saw this weekend lit up the radar gun.

I would bet they make it to Omaha.

Agreed. As bad as out bullpen is this year, we took 2 out of 3 from 'em. In conrast, the Vols embarrassed us.

Vandy is the only program that could screw up the situation with scholarships they have.

Vitello is going to make Tennessee the team to beat from now on unfortunately. He is hungry and will win at all costs.

Nah I disagree. Y’all will give TN a run for their money in Hoover this year.

Arkansas fans always get insanely pissed when I say this, but Vitello will win a national title before Van Horn. DVH had his chance, and his dumbass 2nd baseman blew it.

The baseball gods don't take kindly to those sorts of things.

I like DVH and what he has done at Arkansas but that Oregon State game has probably took a lot of energy out of him. Then what happened last year was another gut punch to his confidence. A coach doesn't endure that type of torture and not have a negative effect. A coach may not have opportunities like that and especially at Arkansas.

I'm afraid he might turn into the Mark Richt of SEC baseball. Just good enough but couldn't get over the hump. He won't get fired of course but I believe he will retire before he would let the baseball program slip.

Arkansas is a good team but I wouldn't be surprised if they finished third or fourth in the West.

Arkansas as a program will stay great just because of facilities, fanbase passion and NIL, but Dave is never winning a national championship. He had his chance. He lost it.

Dude is 61 now and has been the coach for 20 years, and he looks like he's almost 70. He also has a habit of making shaky pitching decisions as a manager. Doesn't make him not a very very very very very good coach, but some fans have wool over their eyes.
