they have underachieved. when they had David Price and were #1 and overwhelming favorite to win the CWS, they lost in the supers, I believe.

They underachieved in 2007. Outside of that year and 2011 Omaha, their best conference record under Corbin was 16-12 and they made super regionals that year. Everyone just remembers 2007 as it was obviously a huge disappointment.

It's not true. Vandy has the same scholarship restrictions, but the administration started a program in 2008 whereby all student loans would instead be given out as grants, subsidized by the university endowment. It's all need-based, and so guys are able to come to Vandy for free or nearly so. It's something done generally for the entire student body, and our baseball team benefits from it.

I'm also so impressed by how stacked we will be next year. buehler, Fulmer, Ravanelle, and Kyle Smith are all exceptional; and Jordan Sheffield is coming in next year.

Congrats Vandy - you definitely have the better team this year. Maybe one of the most complete teams I have seen in years. Stay on task and do not lose sight of the big picture. You could go all the way with this team.
