Vanderbilt's Replacement

Every Vanderbilt football player that can chew gum and walk without falling is running to the transfer portal. The administration has managed to drag their formerly somewhat acceptable basketball program to sub-mediocrity, with baseball sure to follow.
It's time to accept reality, they are done.
Who would be a good replacement for the "Nashville Byes"?

Vandy wont be removed, and Vandy wont leave due to the money.
So the SEC and Vandy will always be together.

That is not fair to the teams that don't get to play them.

Usually love to pull for the underdog, but Clark Lea comes off as a world class a-hole.

We need Vandy in the Conference because they are a private school and not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
So any Conference meeting Vandy attends can stay private.

Vanderbilt found the correct formula in hiring a coach and then completely ignored it twice.
Franklin was an elite recruiter and a highly regarded OC. He proved that you could compete at Vanderbilt.
They proceeded to higher two defensive minded coaches who can't come near the rest of the bottom of the sec in recruiting and went back to accepting a trash product.

That's not how it works at all. The public institutions that are in those meetings would still have to disclose anything their state laws require.

Sewanee.
That 0–36 conference record can only improve from here, right?
Right?!

Nashville trips are a blast so Vanderbilt definitely needs to stay.

More players enter the portal than are taken from the portal. And half the time it's players looking to be re-recruited by the team they're on and have their NIL adjusted. I wouldn't read too much into it. Vandberbilt has money if they choose to use it.

It was funny watching him try to pick a fight with Tennessee

You are ours. We need your GPA. You may check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

FIFMS
That is not "equitable"
The SEC needs more "equity"
