South Carolina has lost every ranked team they’ve faced.

Keep wishcasting.

A&M has played three teams that were ranked in the top ten when the games were played. That’s certainly not a “weak” schedule.

Their defense is weak and undersized.

How is that possible? Michigan in game one when people thought they were good. A #25 Vanderbilt by 3. Who else?

Assuming Vanderbilt drops out of the top 25 tu has zero ranked wins.

And lost in embarrassing fashion at home (with help from the refs) to the only ranked team they have played.

Wasn't Oklahoma ranked in mid to low teens when they played?

Ranking at the time of the game does NOT equal a ranked win. Ranking at the current time does.

Texas has no ranked wins. None of the teams they've beaten are currently in the top 25.

Pretending 5-3 Michigan or 4-4 OU are good teams this year is just that... pretending.

So Hornsports is bragging about beating an historically bad OU team that was ranked early, a mid team early that was ranked early and quickly fell out, and a team by three that was ranked at #25 for 7 minutes.

That sounds on brand.

Funny, I was just looking at your schedule. So therefore I see this is not a serious thread. Your opponent next week, USCe, will be the *best* team you have faced so far.

So what happens if we end the season with no conference losses? That means every team we played sucked right? Including Texas?

Because Aggies can’t be a legitimate contender. Be careful.

This logic only works if we lose.

Damn. The truth!

Look, Texas can absolutely win out.

I just do not think Sark has the team and team culture prepared for an entire SEC season. Hints of that have shown up.

It starts in the weight room and the psychological side so it isn't something you just develop mid-season.

Not throwing shade. Just think it is an accurate perspective on their program as a 1st year SEC school with poor Big 12 performances recently.

And watch out what you ask for in Manning unless you are focused on developing for NEXT year. I think there is more downside to upside playing him right now. Sark would screw himself.
You're looking at our team through a special critical lens (aggy goggles?) that I'm not 100% sure you even use on your own team. The fact is every single SEC team that I've watched this year (I've seen one or more games of every opponent we face and some we don't in the regular season) and all of them have shown some sort of weakness somewhere. There isn't a single SEC team that is head and shoulders above everyone else in all phases of the game, and if such exists, it doesn't exist every week.

No rational Texas fan thought we'd blow through our first season in the SEC undefeated. I know some were thinking that way early in the season when some of the top SEC teams were losing their OOC games while we beat the defending national champs at their house, but those who have been following football for decades (not just Texas football) know how quickly things can change.

That said, I feel like Sark has built a team that can compete with anyone when we don't have key players injured and the ones not injured are playing good ball, but it's a long season made even longer with the playoffs. We may not win it all this season, maybe not next either...but your thinking of this being a "Big12" team is way off the mark. Hell, your very own Aggies had your best season ever with a true Big12 team...unless you want to argue Mike Sherman knew about the SEC move years ahead of time and recruited with that in mind?

My point is this: just because this is our first year in the SEC doesn't mean we don't have an SEC caliber team. And what does that mean anyway? The best the SEC could put into the playoffs last year were knocked off by a B1G team who then knocked off the Pac-12 team that beat us in the playoffs. And don't forget we were the only team to beat Bama last year in the regular season, and did it in Tuscaloosa. You can make all sorts of excuses for Bama in that game, but the reality is it was our second game of the season as well, and we weren't playing at DKR.

Dude, you guys were getting your arse kicked before you switched to a QB who can’t throw and discovered the LSU defense doesn’t know what the option is, lol.

I’m glad in a few weeks things can finally be settled in the field.
