We could give 2 shits in a piss pot less what you, or anyone else for that matter, thinks about our rivalry.

It amazes me that people think that just because a team is in a down period that a rivalry they have shared with another team for 110 years is meaningless.

Its no different than Georgia's rivalry with Florida, or their rivalry with Auburn. (wow UGA has a lot of rivals.) Texas and Oklahoma, USC and Notre Dame, they are all the same. And they have all held the same importance at one point in history or another.

I'll be glad when all this shite is over with.

it's kinda hard to think of it in heated terms (IMO) because in my lifetime one of the two have been awesome while the other sucks balls.

these two teams rarely seem to be good at the same time... at least since i've been following college football (granted, only about 19 years).

It was a big deal when CPB played and when he coached. There was plenty of hate until CPF was run out of town. Now all the hate is reserved for Au. To the Bama fans in SA it is little more than the next game on the way to Atl.

PS, Look out Au. Today you find out what a total beat down feels like.

I normally like watching the Bama/Tenn game but this year Tenn sucks so bad and Bama is so good, I doubt it will be worth watching at all.

Well, LSU did cancel their rivalry with Tulane, so you can see where they get this shite from.

UT-Bama game
What does an lsu fan know about a rival. Not a damn thing

Tulane. Ole Miss.

Two weeks ago, I sold 8 tickets to Ole Miss-LSU to someone in Louisiana for $219 each.

UT-Bama game
Is it just me, or do neither parties realize that NO ONE outside their fan bases care about this rivalry, and NO ONE outside the SEC fan base probably even knows it exists? I am sure it is a very important game for them, but the way the talk about it, you would think it is the end all be all of college football. Leaving the SEC over it....? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Oh how wrong you are, SoGaFan...

There are a lot of fans in the state of Missouri that care about the Bama-UT game, because it's their ticket to slide right into the SEC East.

No one outside of our fan bases care what you think about it either, though I think I can speak for both Alabama and Tennessee fans when I thank you for starting yet another shitty thread feeling the need to tell us how much you don't care.

It hasn't been a big deal since the mid-90's due to one side or the other having a shitty team. Some of it due to our naughtiness and Phil's yap, some of it due to Phil staying longer than he should and Hamilton making a bad hire to rectify the situation.

I have followed SEC football since I was 6 or 7, I am now 50.I consider all SEC teams as rivals of each other, almost always hard hitting and good competitive games. The players don't consider it rival games near as much as we,the fans, do.
As far as UT-BAMA game being a big rivalry, is because many say that Neyland and Bryant built the SEC. {I did not say that I just quoted what many media folk share}

does this game only really matter because Tenn ratted out Alabama for cheating?
