keep smokin those west coast chubbies bud. We were USC before they were even a state. We just have bad Lawyers and no spine. Southern Cal is nothing but a cheating directional school.

Why do you keep saying that? It's beyond bizarre. The USC women have no bearing on the men's programs. We have spent stupid amounts of money on mens coaches and buyouts. We just have had a moron running the Athletic department for the past 15 years making consistently disasterous moves.

They've sucked pretty badly ever since the Reggie Bush fiasco. That probation really hurt them and they never fully recovered.
During that probationary period, they sank low enough to hire Lane Kiffin as head coach, if that tells you anything about how bad it was.

You must really enjoy the liberal media and the west coast weiner in your mouth. It's been an assault on the real USC since the 60's to shove Southern Cal as USC and also SC and anything we could of ever been called in our face. Not to mention the rampant cheating over the years to win titles. It's also our fault that we have such weak leadership that we allowed it. The NCAA and ESPN have doubled down on it having us known as Scar. Do you think the liberals in Connecticut and California want to give anything to a traditional southern state school?

Southern Cal or the USCe..cause when the nation hears USC...the are very much thinking you are talking about Southern Cal...not South Carolina.

And you dumb@$$3$ in the SEC calling the liberal nut jobs at Southern Cal "USC" aren't helping. You'd think you'd jump on the cockaboose and call them So Cal too. I've convinced all my Ute friends to call them Southern Cal because they hate them too....

It is baffling that our Southern brethren keep repeating the liberal company line for them. Our leadership for the last 60 years bears the responsibility as well. Let's not forget the assault continued by the NCAA in the early 2000's with the banning of post season play in SC due to a flag issue that has nothing to do with sports. The bad part is Clemson is their darling, their very charter mission by the founding racists John C Calhoun and Ben pitchfork Tillman was to destroy USC. They are literally the enemy of our state in our own backyard. Nobody outside of Clemson considers them part of our state and most people have no clue where they are even located. Just a cult in the hills somewhere in the south.

Clemson has 13 BOT members. 6 are political appointments and 7 are permanent trustees who avoid any political appointments. So they always have a voting majority of Clemson people. Every single one of our board members, save the ex officio ones, are appointed by the General Assembly. Additionally, we have to have one board member per judicial district, so the folks in Pickens County have as much say as the folks in Richland County. We are set up to fail unless we have an overhaul of our BOT system.

Chill, Pappy, chill. You are taking this way too personally. Even Lou Holtz called his team South Carolina.
No one but a small handful of South Carolina fans, for whatever weird reason, want to be called USC. Southern Cal will always be USC, they have two names.
South Carolina has just one name and it's South Carolina. Maybe it could be changed to something else if enough South Carolina fans people really wanted that and would use the new name.
Maybe something like SoLina?
