I won’t lie: I chose Texas, then my law school, over smaller schools because I did want that to be part of the experience.

Scroll down and look at the expert panel that created that list. Then ask yourself if you want to be on it now?

LSU is NattyU. Of course it’s fun to be an LSU fan. All we do is win (except for football season openers)

I am a Duke alum. It is nowhere near the top for sports fans. Basketball is a unique experience, but there is a limited number of seats at Cameron (it was built as a copy of the Palestra in Philadelphia) and guys like me on athletic scholarship couldn’t invest my time camping for games. Football is an underwhelming experience, not up to Vandy level, and sports like men’s lacrosse, where they attract enormous talent, draw very little. When the NCAA football scheme consolidates to 40 or so teams, Duke may not be in the game. Dont get me wrong - Duke was a great no cost education for me, but it is a so-so environment for sports fans.

List should be

1. LSU
2. Florida

Nobody else is on their level.

To not have UF on the list is wild. Has the most well rounded program top to bottom of the last 25 years.

What fine journalism and solid reasoning for their selection.

No.2 Auburn University
A prominent member of the Southeastern Conference, Auburn University draws Alabama natives and far-flung visitors alike thanks to its mastery of college sports. While the Auburn Tigers football team made waves back in 2010 with a national championship win led by Cam Newton, the institution is also renowned as the home of the Jordan-Hare Stadium, a colossal structure that can host more than 85,000 patrons.
