Did anyone actually read the article? Or are most just assuming Saban put the video together. It was a presentation from Tyrone White.
quote:
That's where speakers like White come in, or rather, are brought in. White, who played briefly at West Virginia (during the presentation, he pointed out that he was a freshman linebacker when Saban was the Mountaineers' defensive backs coach), is a high school coach from the Cleveland area who speaks regularly to groups in that region. Calling himself "Coach Ty," his presentations cover wide-ranging topics, though he said he tailors them to fit the audience.
For Alabama, White opened with a short, video interview of former Alabama running back Trent Richardson, who told the players: "Listen to Coach Ty." The half-hour talk – an Alabama staff member stood to the side and occasionally flashed a countdown with her fingers – touched on a variety of topics. As illustrations, White used recent, well-known examples of athletes who found trouble.
Among them: The 911 calls in the aftermath of the car crash last year involving former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent, who was charged with intoxication manslaughter when his friend and teammate Jerry Brown died in the crash. Video of teenagers from Steubenville, Ohio, joking about the rape of a unconscious high-school student (as the video played on, many players shifted in their seats, apparently uncomfortable with the topic). Video of LSU running back Jeremy Hill in a fight outside a bar, and then a clip of Hill leaving the courthouse.

Can't wait until LSU's arrest this fall camp where a guy winds up in the hospital, no one gets suspended, and LSU still doesn't get crystal.
You seem awfully interested for a fan of an opposing team

I've never once judged Bama fans as a whole or judged them beyond Internet personas.
I've just observed there is an inordinate amount of high horse Bama fans given their own reputation.

I never said Saban created the video. But is he not using it?
Reading, try it.

It's a flame and you know it.....just own it
Hell, he could spend an entire week just talking about what HIS players are doing wrong. But we all know that wouldn't be as good a story here on the SECR.

When I posted the same article, first (Chicken no liked my title
), I wasn't flaming at all. I even mentioned that the speaker had Dee Liner (Bama player who was filmed with a stack of money) in the presentation.
I was curious as to how the LSU fans thought about this speaker (not Saban) using Hill as an example of what not to do when you are a high profile player for a big football program.
And the reason it's on the SEC rant and not the Alabama board is that Hill is a rival SEC west team player.

Wtf are you talking about? Shouldn't you be bitching about our recruiting board or something? God knows you don't talk about it enough.
And that's just like 1st page of your post history. If all you're gonna do is piss and moan about that board and our fans, you should just go ahead and make a blog, whiny arse.

Lots of tiger folks with raw nipples running around on this thread. Y'all would probably quieten down a ton if you'd do a little research and find out just how many schools have shown this presentation to their athletes.
It would probably do Miles a great deal of good if he would show it to his bunch.
