I don't think this is correct

USNWR has Howard and FSU and a bunch of other horseshite schools way above Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, etc.

It's a pretty ridiculous metric

I think their Governor tried to use their University for money once.

[They have been traditionally poor.]

US News rankings have always been awful.

They base part of the ranking on

quote:

Schools score better the greater their proportions of smaller classes.

So you can have a great professor and great class of students..but get docked for the class being large. Absurd

Also... 20% of the ranking is based on opinions

quote:

We survey top academics – presidents, provosts and deans of admissions – asking them to rate the academic quality of peer institutions with which they are familiar on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).

Also high school counselor opinions

quote:

The high school counselor assessment survey averages results from spring 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Like I said. US News is awful. 20% opinion based

Wanna know how I know US News & College Report uses some seriously skewed metrics for their rankings every year?

Where’s the link to the actual rankings and their rating system?
