Saban was barely over .500 at Michigan State.

He inherited a mediocre Michigan State program, then was hit with NCAA sanctions for violations that occurred under the previous regime. Yet, he still built them into a top-ten team and produced their first ten-win season in over thirty years before leaving for Baton Rouge. He did a great job in his time there.

Now do Meyer in the NFL. Diddling the girl at the bar was all he accomplished

That was quite an accomplishment looking at the young lady. Probably his favorite moment.

Nick Saban created a "health crisis" for Urban and Saban made Urbans arse quit.

Urban wanted no part of the SEC with Saban at Bama. Urban knew he would always be fighting everyone else in the conference to be 2nd best.
Fact!

Urban Meyer's Buckeyes beat Saban in the first National Championship Playoff.
Alabama was a 14 point favorite.
Urban outcoached Saban bigly

Urban Meyer didn’t do much in the SEC once Leak and Tebow weren’t on the roster

Saban was winning with guys like McElroy, Coker, Wilson, and Sims

Saban was a total flop in the NFL.

Even then his record was not a “flop”. Almost made the playoffs in his first year and 6-10 his second year. There’s a LOT of NFL coaches most would say are/were quality to great coaches that did worse.

Michigan State was a joke before Saban. Their last ten win season prior to Saban was in the 60s. Took Toledo to a conference championship in his only year there. And it’s hard to forget how much of a dumpster fire Dinardo era LSU was. Urban is a great coach, but no doubt in my mind Saban is better. No one will ever be able to match the dynasty he had at Alabama again.

Meyer is slimey as Fvck, but he’s truly an amazing coach.

His Bowling Green team beat Pinkel’s arse his first year at Mizzou.

Why he suddenly quit? Was it because of NIL and transfer rule change? Competition must've gotten too hard for him to win easily.

Saban checked out when he found out that not only are other teams now allowed to pay their players, but those other teams have deeper pockets.

for the nfl 500 iver two years is “good”… he was a qb away from playoff runs.

They don't want to hear this. There is a reason Miami fans were so butt hurt he left. And, there was more reason coaches got more control over operations after he left.

The man was a savant. He didn't like changes and vocalized his discontent. Yet, not a thing he preached for or against didn't prove true for the betterment or harm to the game at the collegiate or professional levels.
