Auburn, UGA, Vanderbilt, State, and Ole Miss just at quick glances do not have better resumes than LSU right now. Even you know that given I saw you post in the Michigan and Houston threads.

Posted the rankings of all opponents. I do agree houston and michigan are good wins but its all about the body of work. Also, if LSU had State's schedule LSU would probably be ranked right about now. On the other hand, LSU may have 6 losses already if they had vandys schedule.

Tremont Waters stays healthy

This is going to be a huge factor for lsu not just being healthy but playing great. Yes, he puts up big numbers and I realize you are a man short right now. Also, 30 minutes or more seems to be the number in which he has the most turnovers but that could also be common sense. The more he plays, the more obvious their will be more turnovers.

In the last 4 games:
34 minutes 1 turnover
37 minutes 7 turnovers
39 minutes 3 turnovers
34 minutes 5 turnovers

I could hardly recognize him this season. He lost a ton of weight from his freshman year until now.

Houston's RPI is in the 40's. Please tell me how losing to them on the road directly after a tournament is something we should be panicking over?

I don't think you should be, nor did I ever imply that. But losing to one is not inherently worse than losing to the other.

Make sure that one loss doesn't turn into 2 losses.

You play Sam Houston St next so hopefully, lsu won't be losing.

You can mark MSU off that list. At least we beat SFA

lol fake news. SFA is your best win. LSU 100% has better wins than Mississippi State right now. Howland playing half the for profit universities in the country makes Johnny Jones' idea of a schedule blush.

Good post. I certainly agree LSU would be 3-7 like Vanderbilt with their current schedule.

I applaud that you at least pay attention to what everyone in the conference is doing. I've seen enough to say a healthy LSU team is not going to finsh last in the SEC right now. I'm surprised how bad Ole Miss is right now

Somewhere in my history from a few weeks ago you can find me saying LSU won’t finish last, that would be Ole Miss. I still stand by that prediction.

Or you can use the KenPom Block% stat

#9 Kentucky 17.6%

Someone explain to me how this ranking works.

Take a look at 10-0 Arizona State at #31, they have double digit wins vs 5 top 75 teams including two top 15

Top 75 Wins

Win by 10 @ #9 Kansas
Win by 16 Neutral Site vs #13 Xavier
Win by 2 Neutral Site vs #42 KState
Win by 12 Neutral Site vs #50 St Johns
Win by 22 vs #62 SDSU
Win by 12 vs #75 Vandy

Sam Houston St. has made the tournament twice, going 0 - 2. Not quite the same caliber of S F Austin or Houston.

Ole Miss and Florida are the two most bipolar teams in the country.

About 100 spots lower than SFA. Should beat them by 18 points.

I figured, I just like block% since it focuses on number of shots taken.

Auburn's Anfernee McElmore has been insane though. He is averaging 6.96 blocks per 40 minutes at only 6'7

Only FSU 7'0 Ike Obiagu is better ~7b/40 but lower KenPom block%

Definitely not as bad as losing to Stephen F. Austin.

SFA only has one loss and as the #14 seed last year, they pounded a #3 seed in West Virginia in the tourney and lost by 1 point in the 2nd round to an eventual Elite 8 team in Notre Dame. They have a have a pretty good team. For the record, I think Houston has a good team too...just not 26 better than Arky, but it happens.

At one point, Arkansas was shooting 22% and Houston was shooting 70%.
