Tua #1 and Jalen/Burrow are tied at #2, convenient you left out they were tied.

Again, your position is national champions did not exist in those years?

You realize Tennessee's 1938 national title is only from after the fact polls, right? They finished #2 in the newly minted AP poll. So that is a farce.

You realize the 1940 Tennessee national title team lost their bowl game, right? They finished #4 in the AP Poll. So that is a farce.

You realize the 1950 Tennessee national title team finished #3 in the coaches and #4 in the AP, right? So that is a farce.

You realize the 1951 and 1967 Tennessee national title teams lost their bowl games, right? So those are farces.

Tennessee claims 6 national titles. Using your logic they have 1.

Ok...so since there were no polls you just go back and claim them? Got it.

Why does UA feel the need to try to retroactively claim championships? That Little Dick Syndrome must run strong in Tuscaloosa.

FINE! UT started playing football in 1891.

We are now claiming the following years. There were no polls. So they belong to us.

1891
1892
1893
1894
1895
1896
1897
1898
1899
1900
1901
1902
1903
1904
1905
1906
1907
1908
1909
1910
1911
1912
1913
1914
1915
1916
1917
1918
1919
1920
1921
1922
1923
1924

Don't you wish Bama had as many championships as Tennessee?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but no more ridiculous than Bama's retroactive claims.

No - there were polls and systems created after the fact, and since there was no poll at the time then those + winning the biggest bowl game in America + going undefeated = claiming a national title.

It's not that hard to follow.

So, once again, I assume you agree Tennessee has 1 national title, right? If not - I'd love to hear an explanation.

I'm good with that.

Now, let's hear your explanation for the Little Dick Syndrome that causes Bammers to feel the need to claim titles you do not have!

I'd be fine claiming only AP/Coaches poll titles and just referring to the pre-AP bowl teams as Rose Bowl winning teams.

1941 is a pathetic joke

What is it about three in a row that it is such a big deal? The better story is three transfer QBs in a row
Baker Mayfield was a big story, and he put numbers up. With a big personality, captured the attention.

Kyler Murray was "wow, what a coincidence".
Hurts would be "hey, maybe we need to rethink this. It's pretty clear Oklahoma runs a wide open offense, has a talent disparity with their conference, and is just plugging guys in each season".
