Coach's poll #1 finishes count in my book. And that year Auburn went undefeated (2003?) got screwed out of the title game, I'm totally okay w them claiming that.

You need to add 1969 for Texas. Penn St only moved up to #2 for the bowl game because we beat #2 Arkansas the last week of the season. And Penn St technically dodged us too.
Also that national championship counts as 5 for winning in the late 60s with an all white team
