I've seen a lot of people ask about this. On3 just posted this tweet. Seems to be doing MUCH better.

Looks to be feeling good enough to give the baws a RTWFU.

I loaded up some money bags, when we picked coach O up from OLOTL. We

Great news. Coach O is an SEC legend. Glad he is back home at LSU and getting quality help.

Does anyone know exactly what happened?

I wonder if he got an infection? He said they were helping him change his wrap.
Glad he is doing better.

Former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron suffered a severe, life-threatening case of sepsis (a dangerous blood infection) in August 2026.
• The Hospitalization: Orgeron fell ill during preseason practice and spent 18 straight days receiving treatment at Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge.
• The Aftermath: The illness forced him to miss the start of the season while working as a special assistant under head coach Lane Kiffin.
• Recovery: Following his discharge and weeks of physical recovery—during which he was noted dealing with physical weakness and using a cane—Orgeron returned to the LSU sidelines and team environment later in the fall

Can't have LSU football, or college football in general, without Coach O. He's not the level of Saban, but he is a huge recognizable name in sports.

He has part of some great CF storylines. No doubt about it

Good to hear he is doing better. Anybody who don't like Coach O can kiss my arse. CFB has far too few characters in the current climate and he is the last of a dying breed. His line about which door LSU wanted him to leave from is straight up journeyman level trade speak....perfection. He'd have fit right in back in the 70s when college football was lousy with characters. They were far more fun than the coach speech speaking fricks at every program in the nation.

All,
I'm an Ole Miss Rebel! I actually always liked Coach "O". I met him once and he was very nice to my wife and I. I am very glad to hear that he is doing better and appears to be on the road to recovery. Good luck moving forward Coach "O,".
