Name another school that hired away a coach with Jimbo's resume. He's a handful of years removed from a national title and has won 10+ in 6 of his last 8 seasons.

Surprising that UO is building a nice track? No.
Surprising that they're dropping over 200 M for it? Yes.
Here is come perspective. You could combine MSU, UK, and UF's new baseball stadiums along with Auburn's football renovations and it would still be likely less than what UO is doing.

Its really not if you know shite about track. That track will be used all year long, not just by Oregon either. They host some of the biggest track meets in the country, not just college either but at the High School level, team USA does stuff there, the track equivalents of AAU and travel ball have meets and events there.
Oregon will get their moneys worth out of this track and then some.
