A&M and Cal both starting Friday's pitchers.

A&M - Kent - 93 pitches Friday

Cal - Jeffries - 115 pitches Friday

I'm not so sure how I feel about this. I guess if they each only throw an inning or 2 its fine, but damn that's tough on an arm to go more.

Whoop! I wondered about Kent what with all the armchair coach's projections while RC made it pretty clear he thought Kent was ready. This is good news.

I would imagine that teams have to treat it like a short bullpen session, although it would probably come with another days rest in normal timeframes. You can't count on getting more than 2 innings out of a guy in that situation.

Stubblefield and Hendrix's curveball gave Cal fits. Kent might be able to do some damage with his.

Jesus, this is painful to watch. Pretty sure that Radford pitcher just faked an injury to get himself out of there

It's really kind of rude.

On the other hand, I guess we're seeing what a Big South conference championship means.

The bad part is that you can't just stop playing. I feel legitimately bad for Radford. You have to find a way to just minimize the damage. I don't know how you do that though, especially when the life has been knocked out of you.

Was there really any doubt Vandy would lose this regional? Other than the Dores, it's pretty weak. It shows why RPI means very little in post season. Radford may have been #15 in RPI but would probably be at the bottom of the SEC with MSU, UGA, UT, and Alabama.

yea when it comes to playing several games in a short span, the smaller schools with decent RPI's cant really compete

And of course Vandy is the visitor today so they have to bat all 9 innings.
