I don't think any SEC championship caliber defense will get "shredded" by anyone. History has proven it. I don't think OK has seen a defense this year like they'll see in the Rose Bowl. The are capable of winning, but they'll earn every point they get. SEC champs don't get shredded. And the Dawgs have lots of weapons on offense as well.

, if they have a tiny moment where they let Oklahoma get to the point where Georgia has to pass it twice during a set of downs, they might be in for a world of hurt.
That is the dumbest thing I have read today. Balance helps the UGA offense. We hadnt needed balance most of the season. Fromm is great throwing on early downs. Our OL is not great in 3rd and long. Balance early will lead to a very successful day offensively against OU.

40 points and 488 yards qualifies as ''shredded'' in my humble opinion.

You don't have a running QB we have to worry about.

I dont doubt this but their D is very bad.
It is bad, and OSU should feel bad. They had the lead on them in the shoe but JT Barrett turned into bad JT Barrett and decided that completing passes more than 15 yards is like catching Hep C so he refused to do it. And Okie ran off from there. Damn you Urban for sticking with this guy.

Didn't Bama's defense get shredded last year and the year before in the title game?

I highly doubt it as I've seen Drew Lock being compared to Baker Mayfield multiple times in this thread.

Running it 80% of the time is not ''balanced''.
Fromm has 11 completions a game on average.
That's not good.

Yes I know, UGA played high school teams all season so pay no attention to #11 total rush rank.
Alabama isn't elite either at #10 right?
I would give Alabama a better chance to beat Oklahoma, if only slightly, because of how physical their rushing attack is.

After 9 straight running first downs against Kentucky, we threw a post pattern on 1st down for a TD. We opened the play calling up from there and blew them out.
The rematch against Auburn was balanced play calling until the 4th quarter when Auburn couldn't stop a play even if they knew what it was.
If you don't watch all of the UGA games, don't act like an expert. This is a true freshman QB. The offense all season was an evolution in progress. The rematch against Auburn was often 2 passing plays and then 2 running plays and then 2 passing plays, etc..

Oklahoma’s Defense is obviously not their strength. It reminds me (if any of you ranters follow the NBA) of the talking heads in pro basketball claiming that Golden State has a great defense. Umm not really. If you consider giving up 110-118 points a night in basketball a great defense, then they might have to re-evaluate that category.

That's not impressive, nor is it balanced. You said you had a balanced offense, the fact that you run it 4 times out of 5 plays is not a balanced offense -- which is where the problem comes from. When he needs to win the game, it's a different game -- and I will take Baker Mayfield over Jake Fromm 100 times out of 100.

The rematch against Auburn
Was great for Georgia to get their hopes up -- because their best player was clearly not as healthy.
A lot of people will say that that didn't matter, but they don't quite understand the nuances of football. A good player (let's think Percy Harvin) can cause the defense to home in on him. Double teams for certain players cause mismatches, mismatches open up the defense.
That's how Auburn just did whatever it wanted with your defense, and forced your offense to be one-dimensional and worked your young quarterback to death.
It'll happen again if Georgia gets behind against Oklahoma, and if Fromm has to pass it more than 25 times in the game, Georgia is in trouble.

Everyone in America knowns who Baker Mayfield is... No one in America can name 1 player on Georgia.. hahahahaha HELLO HEISMAN

Fromm actually is pretty mobile -- like Will Grier type of mobile. Not the fastest, but he has a good football IQ. He's for sure not like the Big XII QBs who are really, really fast and can pass, but he can burn you.

I don't think you know what a "thug" is.
Posted on 12/10/17 at 12:05 am to StrawsDrawnAtRandom
I've watched tape on Fromm. He's a pro style QB. I see him pull the ball on occasion but that's not a feature of their running game and he's nowhere near as athletic as a real dual threat QB like JT Barrett is, or Kenny Hill, or Delton. That's just something they catch you off guard with.

I do think running from the cops will qualify anybody as a “thug”
